The PAP has the support of a select group of Malays: specifically, those grassroots volunteers, Mendaki people, members of the Association of Muslim Professionals, some of those in civil service etc.

For the most part, the Malay-Muslims hate the PAP. Maybe hate is too strong a word. 'Detest' or 'tolerate' may be more accurate.

That is why the PAP govt needs the Chinese population to remain as the majority... even if it means mass importing a horde of Tiongs and artificially grafting them into the demographics.
