What if Cannabis Cured Cancer?

Doesn't it strike you as odd that Singapore law makers put the death penalty on a substance less dangerous than alcohol.

$10 if this word gets out, their answer will be "its an honest mistake, lets move on"

Imagine being sent to the gallows the next time you're caught drinking at Starbucks. :D

Also by this logic, Singapore NTUC, 7-11, Sheng Shiong, local coffee shop, all should be sent to the gallows for selling nicotine... X_X

Re: Singapore Cannabis Awareness on Facebook

Whether it's right and fair to take away the lives of marijuana users, Sinkies simply couldn't give a damn. All Sinkies care about is "bread and butter", which is a misnomer considering how fucking fat and gorged with bread and butter Sinkies truly are. Let's call a spade a spade and drop the emotive term of "bread and butter". It's not as though we're in a precarious situation where we would literally starve to death if focus were slightly diverted away from bread and butter to other human concerns such as justice, equality and happiness.

I kinda find it disheartening if what you are saying is true.

It's people's life leh... And the governement openly say they will kill anyone who bring in this leaf... X_X

Singaporean no heart is it?

Re: Singapore Cannabis Awareness on Facebook

Bob Marly's time is passed.

Now is 2012. Take a look at High Times Cannabis Cup 2012 at LA California.

Under Singapore law, all these people should have been hanged.

If one is an ordinary bloke, nobody gives a shit whether you hang or not. However, there are children of well-heeled people who go overseas to study and get stoned whilst there. Their lips are sealed. Actually even in Peesai iteself, I have been to parties where sons and daughters of local and overseas VIPs get high - and they won't get caught, even if they are, they'll get away somehow.

BTW, are the person who started this Facebook blog? Thanks for the link.

Cheers!

There is a video where a congressman (MP) is grilling the American's DEA (CNB) chief and the chief give humiliating stupid answers...

Wonder if we will see a repeat performance in Singapore with CNB.

In Sg, a debate of this nature will not even make it to parliament. Tha gahment will push this topic aside by saying "We have more serious things to attend to."

It would be nice to see the Oppo press on this although I do not know how Peesai's citizens will view it.

Cheers!

I really would like to see how they want to claim Mandatory Death Penalty, medical use of cannabis against cancer and alzhimer's disease and the fact that other countries have fully legalize cannabis use is "not important"

The moment they say Mandatory Death Penalty is not important issue for a substance less dangerous than alcohol is the point where the citizens realize the qualifications of the law makers.

Re: Singapore Cannabis Awareness on Facebook

Its high time to Remove the death-penalty on Cannabis and allow Citizens to go for alternative medication(Cannabis)

Re: Singapore Cannabis Awareness on Facebook

Singaporeans are a stingy and ignorant lot, as long as it has got nothing to do with them..They won't give a sh}T

I definitely would like to see the death sentence for drug offences abolished, it is senseless and barbaric, and todate, has not shown any effectiveness in reducing drug use. I am also shocked to learn that there are some Singaporeans who think it is a good law and support it!!!

I hope this cannabis awareness thing will draw attention to this issue.

Cheers!

Re: Singapore Cannabis Awareness on Facebook

I just smoked some killer Marijuana a couple weeks ago for 1week straight, Managed to obtain some Pollen and Black Charas(Hashish) not in Singapore btw. I don't do other drugs and i don't even take panadol if im Sick but I will smoke Cannabis if i have the chance to obtain them.

Re: Singapore Cannabis Awareness on Facebook

The only harm cannabis does to you are the Cannabis law surrounding it. Cannabis consumption does not kill but the Law surrounding it does.

I need to correct you on something.

Drug use =/= Drug abuse.

Same difference between social drinker =/= alcoholic. You can actually abuse coffee in some instances.

Anyway, yes, the MANDATORY death penalty is a stupid punishment to begin with. And I believe cannabis can actually solve this problem. I predict somewhere in the near future, the parliment have to debate SCIENCE vs OPINION.

And science always wins. Remember the days when people were burned as heretics for saying the earth was not the center of the universe?

Re: Singapore Cannabis Awareness on Facebook

A recent study in The United states showed that with Legal Marijuana dispensary being allowed to operate, It has not increased the no. of teenage users or New user. Same story for Holland.

Re: Singapore Cannabis Awareness on Facebook

Heard from a friend of mine that someone related to his friend is currently in Prison for cannabis consumption, His reason for consumption was for medical purpose(He has chronic Epilepsy), Doctor's medication didnt help him one bit plus it further brought pain to his Liver/kidney. When he consumed Cannabis he did not have any epilepsy but since being in prison for nearly 4 or 5 months, He has had about 4 or 5 epilepsy incidents.(Heard that he is not even given his medication on time in Prison) His parents are fighting for him without a lawyer to get him out on medical reasons(He didnt get charged by the way) Prison staff are not budging and Ironically about 2 years ago, An individual was given a warning for cannabis consumption(His reason was for chronic back-pain)...

Can anyone Advice or any lawyer able to sniff around?
The guy is a 1st time offender, who was holding a stable job and comes from a stable background. I think he is about 28 or 29 years old.
