Exactly one hundred years ago, the Balfour Declaration (see below) paved the way for the creation of the Jewish nation. All parties were consulted and their input sought prior to this declaration. The only people who were not consulted was the local population of Palestine!! Seems that this aspect has not changed much in a 100 years. Palestine has just become a political football of the Arabs and world powers. Looks like no end game for the Palestinians. They are destined to be used and abused for a long time to come. Very sad indeed.

"...it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine,..." - the key part of the declaration that was immediately ignored...

I'm starting to see the advantages of using child soldiers in conflict zones. A child fires a gun or throws a stone from a slinghot or hand, it is okay. If you arrest the child or shoot him, it is bad PR and deemed as a crime against humanity. Basically, there is no way you can defend yourself when a child attacks you and attempts to kill you.
Is it time to convert our local boy scouts and NCC groups into armed militias? I'm beginning to see the value in weaponzing kids. It's cheap and it's good PR for your side if they get hurt.
