For me it is Transportation, Housing and the Rising Cost of living. Transportation is tops because the government screws up by loading the population up without investing in infrastructure. Now it is playing catchup in building up more MRT lines and buses and roads. That's why we all have to suffer the road works and creaking MRT systems for years to come. They are also targeting cars now since there are too much demand for cars and the new road capacity has not come on stream yet. But the root cause is the sheer increase in Population which causes the demand. Same with Housing, the sheer demand has cause prices to shoot through the roof. The government has to play catchup with building more flats and releasing more land. Needless to say Cost of living has shot up accordingly.

Transportation, housing and cost of living are symptoms. Just like fever, sneezing and body aches are symptoms of flu.

The real disease/cause is OVERPOPULATION, brought on by the irresponsible, rent-seeking PAP government.

If it is already this bad with a 5 million population, try and imagine how much worse it'll be with 6, 7 or 8 million people.

The foreign invasion must end and the immediate deportation of 2 million foreigners.

Too many foreign talents serving me.

Remember just a mere 5 years ago before the PAP sneak in 1m of FT on us. COE was about $20k, housing low, roads were free flowing and we did not have today 'monster' crowds at the MRT. Cost of coffee at Ya Kun was below $1. Now see the situation today and its going to get worse tomorrow!

Transportation is the least of Singapore's problems because it is such a small island that you can pretty much cycle anywhere in less than 45 minutes.

If cars cost too much and the MRT is packed, just get yourself a commuter bike and start peddling. Not only will you save money on transport, you'll also save on medical bills over the long term as you'll be fitter, stronger and healthier.

you'll also save on medical bills .

I considered getting a bicycle as a healthier alternative but it's really not practical nowadays thanks to what Spore has become.

It's too polluted here just imagine what you'll be breathing in.
Too many careless & impatient drivers out there. You are basically putting life & limb at the mercy of others.
With the increase in crime in Spore the chances of theft is a big concern. There just isn't enough legal parking where I could securely park.

The reality is that you need a car to get to areas where it's safer for biking. If cycling were practical I'm sure there would be more cyclists out there.

biggest prob is n incompetent, short-sighted, self-serving gahmen ...

Tau Nee no worries. When everyone marches into the chatroom for a chat with you, everything will be solved.

My old friend turning 55 was told that he could only withdraw $5k from his CPF. Having worked hard for 30 odd years naturally he is angry and dissappointed with the miserable amount. Told me he cannot retire now and has to continue holding on to his job. He used to heck care when people around him say bads things about the government but notice lately he has become more cynical. His favourite phrase now is 'return me back the money then talk'. What do you think is the problem with my friend? And what is the problem with Sinkapore?
