Ashley Chu makes comeback a year after scandal
22 Mar – Nearly a year after she was caught in a scandal with married actor Jackson Lai, TVB actress Ashley Chu recently made her first public appearance to promote the drama "Beauty and the Boss".
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, whose scenes with Jackson in the drama remained intact, declined to respond to questions about whether or not she is in contact with the actor, and instead stated, "We need to look forward and move on. I won't talk about the things that happened in the past."
She also stressed how grateful she is to TVB for their support, even allowing her to come out and promote the drama.
As for her upcoming work, Ashley said, "I will trust the company's planning. Of course I want to get back to work as soon as possible, but it's not my call. I am ready to accept any jobs and will try to do my best."
Ashley just wants to focus on her career for now
She added that she has gained more wisdom and understanding about herself following the scandal, and has now recognised her goals clearly.
When asked if boyfriend Brian Tse is supporting her comeback, the actress stated, "We have always been supportive of one another. Our careers are our priority right now."
