Serious Trial balloons floating about Ng Chee Meng's future

He dont have a likable face, one look only straightaway dislike him. At least Lim Tean face is chubby & cute

He can please go back to be pilot instructor...
Why need a pilot instructor when all our hardware is just for wayang show and NDP flypast. Its good enough they can takeoff and land.

Rest assured SAF will NEVER go to war because the costs are simply too high.

Political commentator Eugene Tan, a law lecturer at the Singapore Management University, had a different view, pointing out that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had said at a press conference after the final election results were announced, that Mr Ng would retain his position as NTUC’s chief.

This is how "tripartism" in Singapore works. PM decides who should be Secretary General, parachutes him in, and tell you to vote him, the
only candidate, presumably. Talk about talking cock....

Ms Thanaletchimi said that Mr Ng’s new situation (losing the elections) may even be better for the labour movement because it means he may now devote “100 per cent” of his time to the unions and the workers.

- Ms K Thanaletchimi, president of the Healthcare Services Employees' Union (HSEU)

This is total humiliation for Ng Chee Meng, to have a lowly president of a small union comment on his fate.

Karma. He now knows what it is like, for the way he treated his subordinates in the military in the past.
He was never an outstanding guy anyway.

Go back to army life where he can order around... civilian life not for him...

Is the people rejected him why NTUC supposedly to look after workers wanted to keep this loser?

Chee Meng is still my bro!!

Ms Liew said that it is upon the central committee's request and mutual agreement with the Government that a minister is seconded to NTUC

I don't get it. Secretary-General of NTUC is independent of political appointments, yet he is to be a minister seconded from the government?

Anyway, he is no longer a minister. So how?

Bro Chee Meng can still be NTUC Sec-Gen. He has the full support of over 1 million workers and trade union leaders.

I'm still betting that Bro Chun Sing would end up as the First amongst equals. He also enjoys more broadbase support than Swee Keat.

If her word is true, Ng Chee Meng was never 100% devoted to the workers problems. Now we all have clearer pictures why Singaporeans were allowed to be exploited by employers because the Chief of NTUC Labour couldn't be bothered at all.

Referring to Mr Ong Teng Cheong's subsequent return to politics after his stint in the corporate world, Assoc Prof Tan said that this could also be a similar arrangement for Mr Ng.

He added: “Mr Ng may take this similar path as well to give himself some corporate experience, which he doesn’t have.”

There you have it. NTUC had/has a chief who has never been a worker nor had any corporate experience.
He was placed there to get support for the PAP, and which obviously he did not deliver. He could not
even deliver for himself.
