Tonight there will be thunderstorm at 2 to 3am in morning of 12 Jan 2025...big one on the way...

Thanks for the updates.

May revellers out on this night & driving, do take note or send a reminder to them, loved ones & friends...

The monsoon surge is real. Roads are slippery & visibility poor at times between heavy & light rains alternating in seconds.

I was out driving last night after a late night in this monsoon surge. It was like driving into a Twilight Zone. One moment in the deceptive light rains with the road ahead all clear, but the next moment, the car ahead seemed to disappear under heavy rains in visibility...

Thus drive safely or if not in condition to drive,, take a cab. This monsoon surge & alternating rain is expected to last till Tuesday...

Keep safe & maintain safe distance. Better to be late & safe...each life is precious & means something special to another & others...

Have you tried driving to Lim Chu Kang Rd, stop by the roadside and sit at a bus stop to enjoy the rain and the cool breeze? I did that at 12.30am after supper on Saturday morning. It was very refreshing.

The only times I had done such in that area & others were during my military service - perched upon some forested forsaken high ground for hours on cold lonely nights, with my full pack, rifle & a communications signal set on training missions, with instant coffee tactically brewed upon mess tin & solid fuel cubes, for warmth & to keep me awake....

Those days are over...Nowadays, with stresses of working life & responsibilities, when I have the time, I would take a cab & rather go to some roof top lounge, order a jug of beer & watch the sunset in silent contemplation, to reflect & review the day's or week's events...

I kind of like this weather, very cosy and better if you don't have to work next day. I don't like HOT weather.

As much as I appreciate your kind thoughts of me, but it is not about me or my mere past military efforts which most blue blooded Singaporeans born & bred here had done & far more than me.

I am only one, amongst MANY MANY more whom believed in protecting & defending our loved ones, way of life & what we have, to progress & evolve TOGETHER, a dream & vision made evident by our courageous founding & forefathers whom lit the way with little that they had back then but built up brick by brick for our todays...

As we go thru this monsoon surge, may we appreciate those too, whom had continued on, to keep us safe & warm, regardless if it was a toilet cleaner who kept the toilet clean at all times, the biz enterprises & waiters to provide us warm food, loved ones awaiting us at warm homes, security & medical officers on 24/7 alerts, etc, etc, right up to elected officials whom are taking notes of how we can find solutions to adapt to Nature, as no mortal can ever win against Nature....

All the best to all. Keep warm & safe
