It will be interesting how Tin Pei Ling / Denise He / Facebook affair pans. In her declaration form as part of the Elections Process, Ms Tin signed declaration that she is the sole administrator of her website.
I am sure most people would be guessing that would fall under 2 possible scenarios - (1) The Elections Dept would bury it or (2) a Chan Sek Keong kind of report where a convoluted argument devoid of logic would be put forth to close the matter. I doubt this AG will go in this direction. At the lest we are looking at a false declaration.
In the wider context, this last episode fits perfectly well with the caricature of this lady that has come to be. She obviously does not understand the importance of the entire process, the heavy responsibility that goes with it and the trust and maturity that is expected. Is she fit to hold any position of responsibility even in a small organisation let alone the office of an MP.
This is just not about Tin Pei Ling. It is about the PAP who have held power over 50 years and yet chose this individual as the proposed representative for the residents of Singapore.
This is not about a highly qualified individual with a good track record of achievements and a well developed perception of good potential. Everything from day one has been an unmitigated disaster. This is not about a single character flaw or a momentary lapse of judgement. This is an on-going show and it carries on.
