this pink turban Bangali Singh is either in Sg or not in Sg

An Indian woman wearing a pink tudung is considered Malay, so an Indian man who wears a pink turban is considered as Singh?

What about a chink wearing a turban?

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested an armed suspect who attempted to rob a pawnshop outside Boon Lay MRT station last Saturday (July 28).

The man had staged a failed robbery attempt using a knife and a replica gun.

When staff refused to hand over cash and jewellery, the man allegedly threatened to blow up the shop with an object that he claimed was an explosive device.

Police will be holding a press conference on Thursday 10am regarding the arrest.

The whole incident is so comical.

The Bayi went into the pawnshop and told the female staff," Give me money! Money! ". The female staff told him off ," NO MONEY " . "What ?!" the Bayi went into a lock-down. He didn't expect this kind of answer and didn't know what to do next. He panicked. He decided to leave his bag behind and told the female staff "Bomb! " and fled away.

I could have sworn the female staff yell at the Bayi ," Bomb your head! Bayi ! Come back and take your shit away ! " Angry that the Bayi didn't come back, she grabbed the bag and threw it out of the pawnshop.

Story
Recounting the incident which took place at about 4.30pm, Ms Yeah said the robber wielded a knife and what appeared to be a replica gun and told her counter staff member who is in his 40s: “Give me money! Money!”

But her staff member – shielded by a security metal grille and laminated tampered glass – replied: “No money.”

The robber then appeared to be “at a loss of what to do (before) he threatened that he has a bomb. He was very, very nervous, so he just fled (empty-handed),” said Ms Yeah.

She added that unbeknownst to the robber, the shop’s advanced security system allowed security and the police to be alerted while he was still in the pawnshop, and digital technology also enabled it to promptly provide the police with closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage.

While the incident was unfolding, ValueMax staff had sounded an alarm to a security monitoring station manned by crew from security solutions providers Ademco or Certis Cisco who could see the CCTV footage live on their mobile phones or workstations, and alert the police.

Following the incident, specific CCTV footage was sent to the authorities “within a short timeframe”, said Ms Yeah.

All 32 ValueMax pawnshops are equipped with these security features, she added.

Lauding her staff member as “calm, quick-thinking and brave”, Ms Yeah noted that he even tried to give chase to the robber himself, but the suspect was already nowhere to be seen.

That employee resumed work on Sunday, unaffected by the incident which he described as “quite comical”.

The company has not allowed him to speak to the media and directed all queries to Ms Yeah instead.

“He was very surprised that the police even blocked off the entire area. He thought it was just a small issue,” said Ms Yeah.

The staff described the incident as quite "comical", he should treat every robbery case as SERIOUS. What IF this wasn't a PINK TURBAN robber bit a TALBAN FIGHTER out to get money...this would not be comical...he would be DEAD by now....

I bet she is really laughing when she saw the pink turban.... reminded her of the Pink Panther.

SINGAPORE: The man who threatened to blow up a pawn shop outside Boon Lay MRT station last Saturday after a failed robbery attempt has been arrested, the police said in a statement on Wednesday evening (Aug 1).

The man had entered a ValueMax pawn shop at about 4.30pm, armed with a knife and a gun believed to be a replica, and demanded that an employee hand over cash and jewellery.

When the employee refused, the man allegedly said he would blow up the shop, claiming he had an explosive device. He fled the scene after throwing an object on the counter.

Investigations found that the object only contained some electrical components, authorities had said on Saturday.

The incident prompted the closure of exit C of the MRT station near Jurong Point mall.

The pedestrian square near Jurong Point and several shops were also cordoned off. Officers could be seen walking in and out of the shop to take photos.

After the incident, police appealed to the public for information on the suspect, said to have been 1.75m tall and wearing a pink turban, blue jacket and long brown pants when he was last seen.

Police said the case has been classified under Section 4(A) of the Arms Offences Act, which carries the death penalty.
