A spinach dish with century and salted eggs, a plate of sweet and sour pork and a strange looking bowl of soup. “Do you know what this is?” she asked, trying obviously and failing badly to contain her wicked smile. She held out a small bowl full of something that was clearly the brain of an animal. She prodded me again in her shanghainese mandarin “So do you know?” I replied. "I'm not going to eat that thing. It's a pig's brain”. She retorted, "Its good for your brain. It prevents you from developing dementia. You are getting old and forgetful. So, will you eat at least a bit?”. I grudgingly ate some. Well it tasted like pig's liver and had a very jelly feel when you bite into it. Whatever. All I know is eating pig's brain to counter dementia is thr biggest fake news created by Chinese in this world!

After dinner, I said to her "No need to give you "special service" in future. Next time I shall cook you a Thai style bull penis soup so that you can grow a dick to satisfy yourself.
