He still thought dat he created spore in 1965 when spore was kicked out of . Remember he shedded tears on national tv. He also shedded blood (?) fighting the communists and the Barisan Socialis. He was laying his life on the line, with knuckbusters et al.
He was gambling with his life fighting for a non communist society in spore during the '60s. His days during WW2 working for the invading Japs, sucking up to them, kowtowing to them in order to save his neck may still remained clouded in mystery. That is where he suffered humiliation at the hands of the Japs and lost his face as an adult.
And we know dat FACE is very impt in a Chinese society.
He betrayed spore and committed treason of the highest order. So far nobody probe deeper in that period of his life when he slept with the Japs during WW2. It seemed to be still shrouded in smoke and fog.
So he thought that after all the blood (?), sweat and tears dat he had done for the little red dot, he had the prerogative to LOOT the island for all its worth. So he rationalised and justified dat the republic owes him something garguantuan for all the sacrifices...
etc....dat he had made.
Knowing that he is mortal and his time is running out on Earth, he is literally carving up the island (GRCs, HPL, Queen Astrid Park, Scott 24.....) for all its worth with the accompanying loot (million $$$ salaries) for his future Lee generation and Lee bloodline.
He is ripping spore left, right and centre. One classic example is the countless overseas trips that he had made to , , the States to "chia hong" using taxpayers money.
His legacy and attitude is not to care whether shittipore bleeds. Why shud he cared if there are 100,000 unemployed silliporeans who voted (in his mind) overwhelmingly for the papees in past GE after GE. He got to seek adequate compensation and squeeze the little red dot for all its worth....... He is suffering from delusions of grandeur, dat he thought as a pioneering figure, instrumental in the creation of the city state is entitled to rip out the innards of this sinkapore.
All this will be told in a book which I am writing and yet to be published.
