I don't see how broader representation has helped countries in the US or EU.

In the US, the GOP is desperately trying to destroy Obamacare simply because it was the work of a Democrat president. The GOP constantly cursed at it but when it comes to the crunch, enough of them couldn't bring themselves to repeal it.

So what good has broader representation done for the US besides politicians bickering and getting nothing done?
