Even way back when LKY was PM he warned all sinkies that Singapore was very vulnerable to external shocks and threats and that is why they needed to give the PAP 110% support in order for the leadership to make Singapore as resilient as possible.
Nothing has changed as Singapore is still the tiny island that it was 40 years ago. It might have grown slightly but the geo political situation is still similar. That is why Singaporeans still need to give the PAP their full support while ignoring the whinging and constant complaining by the useless opposition parties.
