I think caviar is like sharkfin and birdnest, not really overrated but really overhyped into luxury category.

What I know some hotels practice is the leftover meats from buffet will be used to cook fried rice or noodle dishes for the staff canteen the next day.
Which reminds me last time I was part timer working in restaurant, there was this dishwasher uncle who would eat whatever leftovers left on the dirty plates... gross everyone out that eventually he was sacked.
豆腐花 食左眼花花 鸡婆报马打 鸡公灭查拉 ......
2. i love most & best: tau fu fa, a bowl of hot beancurd ...

there must be a reason why sharkfin , birdnest and caviar is a luxury food . those items is not like chicken meat where you can collect easy ..its a limited products .

Bro, where was this hotel located? Behind Orchard Towers? Funny, when I tried to recall its location, I suddenly recalled having collected their matchbox. Collecting these matchboxes similar to stamp collection in the late 60s. If I recall rightly, white in colour.
The place where you like to cheong bro....it became Marco Polo later and Omni hotel after that
Thank you. Not aware now known as Omni. Yes, used to chiong there in the late 70s - early 80s. Still recall opposite the hotel was Temasek Beer Garden where William Scorpion tharn jiak there. STPB office nearby too. Rasa S'pura makan stalls also located there.
