The latest and greatest HAZE updates and commentry

Re: Johor API is 183-313 at 7am today, why NEA PSI is only 111?

Ms Vivien just finished performing her wayang on TV last nite , now getting ready to go to Indo for her next holiday wayang

Re: Resign.......... You impotent farkers

Fug chiu la! Don't divert attention can or not.

The government of the day should already have resolved this haze issue through diplomatic means moons ago.

Take up arms your lanjiao!

Yes they should have resolved it through diplomatic channels.

But they failed to do. Vivian, Shanmugam and LHL are all culpable. All of them were too freaking scared of the Indonesians to take any REAL action.

So now it is too late. Their current knee-jerk reactions only show they are panicking. They are chasing the tail. They don't know what to do. And anyway it is too late to use diplomatic negotiations to handle the CRISIS AT HAND.

The only solution is to activate the military. Seize the plantations and the hot spots. Round up the culprits and arrest them. Any person seen on any plantation site should be arrested first. The time for due process will be later. Then, activate RSAF to douse the flames using aerial means, supported by SCDF firefighters on the ground. If TNI or any Indonesian police attempt to prevent this, shoot them on sight.

As for the captured people, establish a Court Martial on the spot and try them.

- All detainees should be interrogated (if necessary, using "enhanced techniques") to establish the names of the companies responsible for the slash and burn
- ANY detainee who was caught red-handed doing any sort of outdoor burning should be sentenced to 10 years in Singapore prisons
- ANY detainee who was an employee of any of the responsible companies should be sentenced to 10 years in Singapore prisons
- ANY management personnel of those responsible companies should be sentenced to 20 years, plus 12 strokes of the cane
- If any local / provincial / municipal government officials were found (through interrogation) to have allowed this to happen under their watch and deliberately ignoring it due to corruption, they should be sentenced to life imprisonment with no possibility of parole, plus 24 strokes of the cane

In addition, Singapore should file a case against Indonesia at the International Court of Justice demanding compensation of US$1 billion

(Ironically, if this had happened in the US, the affected citizens could legally take up a class action suit and sue the government for compensation of a few hundred million -- however we are now talking about a foreign government)

TIME TO FREAKING SHOW SOME BALLS

Re: Resign.......... You impotent farkers

lanjiao lah they wont do anything one, if they want to do it they would have done it like 20 years ago when the haze first started, just sit back, relax, watch the haze and wait to die loh :D

"Is Singapore burning?"....... no intelligence avail......

Epic Fail - No one knows who is causing the burning......

All the oil Palm companies say they do not burn

ISD/SID/MFA/MINDEF ..... all blur....... no answer........:confused::confused::confused::confused:

epic failure.........

Re: Psi - 400

The only role of the Opposition is to apply incessant pressure on the government of the day to do its job. Apparently not!

the pap government problems like haze, mrt breakdown or overpopulation are good news for the opposition. your failure is my success !

Unlike the opposition of Taiwan, here the Opposition is just as quiet as the PAP.

LOL, useless piece of shits.

the taiwanese opposition need to vigorously rant against the government to justify them holding 40% seats in parliament.

sinkies gave only 1 opposition party, WP 10% seats and no seats to rest of opposition... so in a way, we deserve the "deafening silence" from the opposition.

Ms Vivien just finished performing her wayang on TV last nite , now getting ready to go to Indo for her next holiday wayang

Why is it only VB (and more recently LHL) doing the wayang?

Where is Khaw? On holiday? Apparently he is overseas.

Where is Chan Chun Sing? Apparently he is overseas.

Where the the Health Minister? Shouldn't he come out to explain the shortage of N95 masks and make some attempts to procure additional stock?

Where is the Manpower Minister? Shouldn't he explain why the hell workers are STILL working outdoors despite a ridiculous 401 PSI score??

what a terrible way for Sinkies to die, slow death by toxic fumigation

knnccb no matter how daft Sinkies are, dont think they deserve to die in such a horrible way

sign the petition to stop the use of biofuels. if there is no demand, there will be no supply.

https://www.rainforest-rescue.org/mailalert/908/biofuel-eu-destroys-700-000-hectares-of-rainforest
“Biofuel”: EU destroys 700,000 hectares of rainforest

The European Union wants to protect the climate and reduce carbon emissions from motor vehicles by blending fuels with increasing shares of supposedly eco-friendly “biofuels”.

Last year, 1.9 million tons of palm oil were added to diesel fuel in the EU – in addition to millions of tons of equally harmful rapeseed and soybean oils.

The plantations needed to produce the palm oil cover an area of 700,000 hectares – land that until recently was still rainforest and the habitat of endangered orangutans. Despite the clear-cutting of the rainforests, the EU has classified palm oil as sustainably produced.

This policy has now blown up in the legislators’ faces, with scientists confirming what environmentalists and development experts have long asserted: agrofuels help neither people nor the environment – and are most certainly not climate-neutral, as even studies commissioned by the EU show. Biodiesel from palm and soybean oil, but also from European-grown rapeseed, is more harmful than diesel from fossil sources.

The EU should therefore abolish its biofuels policy immediately, but the agro-industry is fighting hard to maintain the status quo. Not surprising, when one considers that biofuels are currently subsidized to the tune of 10 billion euros in the EU alone.

The European Parliament is currently debating the future of biofuels. The allegedly green energy will be put to a vote on June 20 in the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, on July 10 in the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, and on September 10 in the plenary session of Parliament.

Please sign our petition to the EU and demand an end to agrofuels.

Start of campaign: Feb 20, 2013

ok so now you blamed india and china for your misery ... instead of blaming your own ball-less coward sinkie shit self.

Indonesian Government is pissed with Singapore?

That minister by the name of Agung said something about how the issue of extradition has not yet been resolved.

Apparently, alot of former Suharto cronies are wanted by Indonesia but given safe haven in Singapore due to our close ties (thanks to LKY) to the former Suharto regime. They want us to extradite these fuckers back to Indonesia to face trial. The problem is that we do not have an extradition treaty with them. Singapore seems determined to provide a safe haven for these corrupt officials -- allowing them to buy properties here, park their money in our banks etc. Even our banks refuse to disclose exactly how much these people have in their Singapore accounts.

We seem determined to provide these morons with assistance, which pisses the current Indonesian government off.

Why the hell did we do this? If so, don't we have ourselves to blame?

If not for the haze, this issue would not even come to light!!

Re: what a terrible way for Sinkies to die, slow death by toxic fumigation

actuallly dying by smoke inhalation is one of the most peaceful ways to die. why you think so many people smoke themselves with car, or use charcoal in a closed room?

getting spray by tear gas is more painful... but won't kill you unless you have some rare allergy.

Re: what a terrible way for Sinkies to die, slow death by toxic fumigation

Don't be ridiculous. Nobody is going to die just because of a bit of smoke. Get a grip of yourself and stop being so paranoid.

Re: Johor API is 183-313 at 7am today, why NEA PSI is only 111?
