Re: Singapore - the new Haze hub

haze news update.

dozens of threads are created in haste on the haze issue, and this hazy situation has alarmed the admin and his mods to hastily merge threads into a single incoherent maze. the fire and smoke spread faster than they can be contained, and the resultant smog has prevailed over much of the sbf community. the firefighters are frantically fighting a losing battle in the background while smokers and arsonists indiscriminately discard their butts and fuel on piles of inflammable debris. it's a thankless job.

meanwhile, highly compensated ministers are forming a committee to add more haze to the hazy problem by practising finger tai-chi and concocting smoke and mirrors. they spent a day deciding the committee naming convention. finally, they decided, after much hazy debate and discussion, that the high-powered committee should be called the "inter-ministerial powerful haze unmitigated committee with executive directive" or "i'm phuc'ed" as the acronym.

Welcome HAZE, DENGUE and SARS to live a more peaceful life

Sad, Racehorses Form Long Queue At Veterinary Clinic To Get MC From Dreadful Haze.

These 3 thousand plus inhabitants living in spore are the one that suffer the most in this dreadful hazy condition,
with their large nostril, windpipe, big lung and heart, they are more vulnerable to asthmatic symptoms/respiratory distress and cardiac arrest.
they have to train hard everyday by their trainers to earn their keep and pressure by the owners to win races for them.
many are calling in sick and the vets are having their hands full..i really pity them..the cats, dogs and snakes in spore can consider themselves to be more lucky in this hazy condition than these poor gentle giants...
as a precaution these horses has been issue with a face mask by the vet to be worn at all times.

as form me to show my concern and love for them i will skip betting at the races in kranji this weekend and will only bet
the shatin races and confederation cup matches and half of my winnings will be donated to the horses medical expenses
giving them free and bigger sizes face mask for them!

Maybe Sam should form a committee of moderators to unhaze the haze threads so that we can find our way around the maze.

Re: Singapore - the new Haze hub

breaking news! this just in from the bedok bedek boredcasting bureau.....

the tent rental association of parks (trap) has filed a petition with the newly formed inter-ministerial powerful haze unmitigated committee with executive directive (i'm phuc'ed) to complain about the catastrophic loss of business due to the haze. customers are experiencing extreme difficulty in breathing when they exert themselves in the tents. some of them require medical attention while many are not cumming back. customer service representatives who have to provide quality care in the tents all day also experience breathing problems, and in many cases, acute choking reaches dangerous levels as a result of over-exuberance (a.k.a. reps reaching their service peaks) and oral fatigue.

trap has asked i'm-phuc'ed to provide temporal monetary assistance before many of its merchants go into the red or out of business. merchants of trap have cited that they provide a vital low-cost service to the "health and happiness" of sg. otherwise, more sinkie women and possibly some sinkie men may get "shafted" at the time and place they least expect. trap also offered to service "establishment personnel" for "free" as "kickback" for relief funds granted. they ensure that all their proprietors and customer service reps have been verified of their ages by "wrinkle inspection", a surefire method to ascertain "over-aging" as they gleefully claimed. :D

hopefully, the adhoc committee can be called "forum unhaze committee" or "fuc".

Me too . I am willing to trade off many things to exchange for driving out fts. Other than this haze period, only CNY can feel more relax when all fts fxxk back to their cuntry.

Indon SOP is more kuat than hours. And they are ruthless ...they might just eat the liver of our dead SOF. I think our SOF will rather chao lor than fulfill the mission. You think our PAPer General will dare to lead the mission?

Re: 2nd Hand Smoking out there

We are getting free SMOKE out there, smokers, don't need to puff, just go out there & breathe & no need to worry about 5m from this or that, or what zone or which dustbins, or anything..it is free open space SMOKING..even in your own home.

FREE SMOKING FROM INDONESIA comes with spices too.:D

Hahahahah. A real good one. All the smokers should rejoice. This is karma

Re: Why no secret operation against Indonesia?

How come this angmoh know so much about SID? Anyway, SID has no black ops team like CIA.

To go into enemy territory, it will have to be the SOF.

He served as military attache or something to Sinkipore

Sufficient N95 masks, no need to stockpile: MOH

POSTED: 21 Jun 2013 12:19 AM

SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Health (MOH) said Thursday that there are sufficient stocks of N95 masks to meet national needs and that there was no need to stockpile.

Large retail and pharmacy chains will have the masks available for purchase by Thursday evening, said the ministry.

The government currently has 9 million N95 masks in stock, and there are plans to purchase more.

At the first of the daily press briefings on the haze in Singapore, chaired by officials from MOH and the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, reporters were told that the 24-hour PSI for Friday is expected to be in the “very unhealthy” band of 201-300.

Persons with chronic medical conditions, especially lung or heart disease, are advised to avoid all outdoor activity. Pregnant women, children, and the elderly should also do likewise.

A special scheme by MOH will be implemented on Friday at polyclinics and designated GP clinics for the young and elderly suffering from respiratory problems and conjunctivitis because of the haze.

MOH will subsidise S$30 per visit at designated GP clinics while Singaporeans will pay no more than S$10 at polyclinics.

The government has also set up an emergency information portal for latest haze updates.

In addition, the National Environment Agency will be providing 24-Hour PSI readings hourly instead of just at 8am, 4pm and 12pm. This is because the agency's health advisories are based on the 24-hour measurement, which is a better reflection of the total exposure of an individual to particular matter levels.

Hospitals will also be making extra efforts to ensure the safety of patients vulnerable to the haze, said Professor K Saktu, Director of Medical Services at MOH.

He said: "Patients who have got respiratory or cardiac problems, one of the issues they must deal with is to move the patients to an area that is not near the window where any changes in the exterior will be immediately reflected. Even if they get exposed to the haze, there is medical treatment available."
