SINGAPORE – The world is in flux, with rapid changes brought about by technology and policy shifts, but Singapore has prepared for this.

Speaking on Feb 22 at an education award ceremony in Teck Ghee, Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong said the Government has plans for the coming year and the future, but he added that people need to rally behind it.

He said some of the plans were laid out in Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s Budget speech on Feb 18. They include more immediate needs like support for households to tackle cost pressures, and longer-term plans such as strengthening growth engines and investments in people and infrastructure.

Red CHAS should be entitled to free dental visits twice per year. Hospitalization and Outpatient, pay a token admin fee like Taiwan and Thailand. The rest free.

The 2025 budget has a surplus of $6 billion. They can allocate the surplus to Red CHAS card or appropriate the surplus for ministers salary performance bonus and GDP bonus.

(Bloomberg) — Investigators hired by the board of eFishery Pte. have determined the Indonesian startup is in far worse shape than they previously thought, and that investors are likely to get back less than 10 cents for every dollar they invested, according to documents seen by Bloomberg News.

The company, which deploys feeders to fish and shrimp farmers in Indonesia, incurred several hundred million dollars in losses between 2018 and 2024 and misrepresented its financial figures for years, according to the documents and a person familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified because the information isn’t public.

It is no different from bosses who refuse to promote or give a top performer a substantial raise, but may only do so after he throws in his resignation.

Bosses are very worried if the subordinates (employees) are smarter than them.:roflmao:
It is possible to be too good at our job. Any more brilliance from us and we may leapfrog over our boss on the corporate ladder. This is why we may expect a glowing appraisal only to have our boss marginalise our contributions to the company. Maybe the boss will expect us to get mad and quit, or continue our employment owing to our age. The result is that our boss kept gets to keep his post and large pay cheque, but the company loses a vital contributor either because we move to another employer, or continue at 1/2 pace in the same organisation.

Bosses are always right cos they are the paymasters.
