Lemme try to get the inside scoop on where the $281 million went and to whom. Akan datang!$281 million paid out as commission to certain people. These people failed to preserve Kawasaki's profit.

It was common for the PAP to push jobs that Sporeans should aim for e.g. engineering, hotel management, computer science, .... . Unfortunately each year the recommended jobs kept changing & it takes about 4 years to get a degree. One MP even talked about degrees expiring & people should go back to renew one's degree
Now they are still talking about changing skills. However at the lower levels e.g. cooking, factory skills, learning Excel,...
Why? People who have the required degrees can look at emigrating & moving out of Spore.
I did not realise that this joker was an Admiral. Clearly a round peg in a square hole. We send an army general to rescue NOL and we send an Admiral to buy trains. Its like asking a Mat to cook fried Hokkein Mee on the basis that he too is a chef.
This is where the electorate in NZ is wiser than the sinkie electorate. They know that an opposition presence is required in Parliament to ask the hard questions about these sorts of issues.
Chee was the ideal candidate for this role with nothing to lose. Instead the electorate concentrated on trivial issues like covered walkways and upgrading budgets and returned a lame duck Pappy who asks no questions and votes according to the party whip.
It's really sad to see a country screw itself year in year out.

You who suggested that Sinkies emigrate to foreign lands: have you heeded your own advice?
My wife and I have and this year's 4th of July was my first as an American. I strongly recommend you to come to the USA where you can still live the American dream.
This reminds me of the Bendy Bus fiasco.. U remember the two carriage bus joined together by some connector. Well u don't see them on the roads no more!
Nice story, but lots of salt and pepper added.
In the same order for those trains, the earlier ones belong to LTA and the later ones belong to SMRT. That's what SMRT HOT meant when he put it at 2023, while LTA put it at 2019.
The first trains were sent back in 2014, with one train being rotated out of service for this exercise about once every 4 months. This reduces the disruption to train service levels. The port-to-port journey takes 10 days btw.
Damned it.
When is the government and Singaporeans (through voting at the General Elections) going to learn that regardless how smart, and/or how good and effective is an SAFOS (and LG, MG, BG or Rear Adminral) is, they will not be a competent and effective entrepreneur, or CEO, or executive in an actual business environment.
Please stop this continuing transfer of SAFOS to business enterprises, civil service, Statutory Boards, Ministries, and government affiliated agencies, except for the odd competent individuals.
The scheme was started with the first son to create gravitas to facilitate his entry into political leadership. They will not knock it until he leaves. Since none of the grandsons are bothered with the SAF, it will die an eventual death. The Admin Service will then form the core of the Mandarins. It however requires PSC to take back central control which they gave up some 15 year ago but introducing the Service Scheme and their own promotion boards for senior levels.

I suggest that this issue is sufficiently important for the WP to raise in Parliament.
Maybe request for the globe touring (33 and 1/3) President to conduct a Commission of Inquiry to investigate and report on the whole matter!
