Its doom and gloom in Sinkie Land.. Our public transporst just cannot cope with all these over crowding problems.. The invasion of these FTs also play a part in this mess... I don't think the situation will ever improve.. With more FTs comin in, expect this overcrowding problems to persist..

i dont know what to say , i dont know what to say

Everything in sg is overpriced especially living space. Many ppl pay half a million and upwards to live in a space that's smaller than what almost anyone else lives in elsewhere in the world. For that amount of money someone could probably even live in some sort of mansion in oz for eg don't you agree?

Are you No Porn Lui ? :p

i dont know what to say , i dont know what to say

Lui has promised another new line wihin 2 years spread and offload the islandwide overcapicity. 2 stations shall be near my place. In fact, construction works have begun some months ago. He has also sacked CEO Saw who left the shit for him to wipe as the recent hearings have indicated, understaffing and overpacity.

Who controls the fts that come to sg? If they want to let in even more what does the common man have to say? Nothing. Just complain online or something and just tolerate it.

bro,
spot on with regard to TM station. have to admit that if Eunos, Paya Lebar as labeled as congested, then JE station would be classified as experiencing severe congestion :(:(:(

I really pity those living in the west. So far the only forummers i know that stay in the west but not in the jurong area like ppl like like lts who stays in queenstown which isn't that bad since it's so close to town.

Sometimes I feel that my vote for the Oppos was in vain not because I'm disapointed with the Oppos but I'm just pissed off with the selfish 60%.. I'm beginning to give up hope for this country.. Everywhere I go, I see the Ah Nehs, Ah Tiongs and the Pinoys surrounding me...This country has indeed gone to the dogs.. :(

yup that's correct but some ppl still don't get it and try and boast how much bigger their houses or how much better their cars are in other countries. Try paying sg prices for those houses and cars and see if they can afford them.

even by opening a few line it will not solve any problem because the train schedule will still be the same . the next train station ppl will also have to wait because of the over loaded train .

let's not reduce the train waiting time i have a feeling if more trains were operating on the line they would have problems with too many trains on the line. Seriously there's tons of problems not forseen that sprouted out when the govt engaged in new ventures.

When my car was in the workshop last year, I had to take the 1st train from Tampines to Boon Lay since my office is in Gul Rd.. Really chaotic when getting out of the train when it reached Boon Lay MRT.. Took me more than 10 mins to exit out of Boon Lay MRT station..

Space is small, that's true. The overpopulation, overcapacity, understaffing perpetually successful application ofor fare hike, gave ex-CEO Saw and her senior cronies very got profits to report for wage increases for themselves. Ex-Tranport Minister Raymond Lim was the first one sacked over this. He listened to Saw, to delay building another line because there couldn't be guarantee, even unlikely, that SMRT having already won the Circle Line, could be allowed to win the bid. That was exactly how it turned out. The government lost control, sacked Raymond and Saw, and the new MT Lui promptly awarded the new Downturn Line to SBSTransit in August 2011.

My experience with Singapore MRT (both SMRT and SBS Transit lines) are 5 minutes peak, 7 minutes non-peak. Most US and Canadian lines run at 3 minutes peak and 5 minutes non-peak. Tokyo and HK lines are fastest, 2 minutes peak, 4 minutes off-peak.
