the old issues of Singaporeans leaving and the lack of entrepreneurship in Sinkie land are highlighted again.
sadly, good old SM Goh won't get to see this trend change in his lifetime.
the solution is simple yet deem too radical for the PAP government. the fundamental structure of Singapore has to be change for Singapore to survive another 50 years.
it involves the weakening of PAP's power and, clearly, contradicts PAP's fundamentals.
1) Remove National Service
an act of defiance is a sign of creation. defiance requires a person to believe truly in himself and go against the flow. compulsory NS has disabled that. they expect complete obedience from the youngs.
seriously, nothing kills creativity more than an inflexible bureaucractic system like SAF. NS men should know from their NSF experience when they worked with SAF regulars.
will SM Goh propose the abolition of NS?
2) 2 party system and removal of Internal Security Act
resistance is a neccessary evil. if Singapore's opposition MPs are mild and can be counted with 5 fingers, what kind of resistance do you expect from average Singaporeans?
aside from that, our government should stop prosecuting against dissidents and the opposition members. no wonder Singaporeans are indifferent: its better to keep quiet or get thrown to jail.
is SM Goh willing to dilute his party's power?
3) Reduce the amount of foreigners and remove CPF
we Singaporeans love competition, fair ones to be precise. our government saturate our industries with foreigners and expect Singaporeans to compete with obligations like NS, CPF and setting up a family.
the better educated and normally richer Singaporeans will be more than happy to leave this place of unfair competition.
will SM Goh fix the foreigners issue at least?
Singapore is like a brothel. foreigners come here like customers, have their fun then move on to settle in a better country. the richer Singaporeans grow up here as prostitutes's children and avoid NS to settle elsewhere. only the poorer Singaporeans are the prostitutes to be screwed over and over again by the brothel owner and their customers.
if our government can't even take care of their own people, why would anyone, both foreigners and overseas Singaporeans, wanna settle here?
