The quality of the video is not clear, but according to the statement, the discussion touched on sex with boys and whether the age of consent should be 14.

The age of consent is not gay specific issue but has been identified with the Gay cause for a very long time. People nowdays are comfortable with homosexuality even if they are not one. But the age of consent is explosive all around.

You can have all the burning issues such as FTS, structural unemployment etc but the moment the issue is about sex with minors, everyone across the age spectrum no matter what their sexual orientation is will react and they will react in one way.

There are far more heterosexuals who are inclinded to have underage relationships with minors just on the basis of numbers but they are forbidden by law and will not raise the issue. As it stands, the PAP team only wanted to clarify if the SDP had a hidden gay agenda. And Chee Soon Juan in his media release has said categorically 'No' (check it out: first sentence in the SDP video response).
