Tears flow, sadness prevails as Robinsons employees eye empty shelves, serve customers before closure

Long queue at Robinsons Heeren today. More people there than at the nearby Apple store.

Sinkies dont know. Many dont read news. Many have no knowledge of economics.

They see big store still open they think must be making big money.

They think if losing money would be closed right away. Ie if open means making money if losing should be closed.

Sad.
Sad is trending since trump be come president.

Actually things were going quite well until covid happened.
Things could turn out to be better with it. While a handful of Maga may have died to covid, those that rightly fear the covid may not even volt at all. You know, those rational folks that worry abt America's place in the world, the black and Latino poor, all democrats.

She has worked at Robinsons for 30 years, is past Singapore’s official retirement age and would have continued working there if not for the latest development.

“This is a department store with more than 100 years of history, but because of Covid-19…” she said, trailing off. “I’ve been with the company through its ups and downs. I was very busy, but very happy.”

She must be joking. Robinson’s staff very busy? I have never seen them in that state before, even on weekends when I go. Most of the time, they are slacking around the display and chit chatting.

Come on... the traditional retail model is dead. U need some sales assistant to be beside u when u browse?

Among all the sales people I encountered in super markets locally

Robinsons had the best , and polite

Mustafa have the worst

I'm interested to find out which business will replace the vacant retail space.

For example, in Vivocity, Daiso was replaced by the library, and Giant was replaced by NTUC Fairprice.

Sinkies behaving like vultures
