Talk so much so when to UP 40 % pay for all if not stop spending
By Lee Yen Nee
A NEW survey has found that basic wages and variable bonuses
are set to rise this year. Still, companies are cautious due to
the impending increase of CPF and foreign worker levy.
The survey by Singapore Human Resources Institute and
Remuneration Data Specialists polled 164 companies from
various sectors last month on issues like wage increase,
as well as bonus and recruitment plans.
It found that basic wages for staff of all
categories - managers, executives and non-executives
- will rise 2.8 per cent, a substantial increase from the 1.3 per cent rise recorded last year.
