情报警告透露,当地一个伊斯兰激进组织NTJ(National Thowheeth Jama'ath)计划袭击著名教堂和印度驻斯里兰卡高级专员公署。

Sri Lankan blasting expert: does not rule out retaliation against the New Zealand terrorist attack
2019-04-21 20:21
A number of explosions occurred on the 21st in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The explosions that took place on various occasions, including churches and hotels, have caused 207 deaths and more than 400 injuries. The number of casualties may rise further.
April 21st is the traditional Christian holiday of Easter. The three churches that exploded on the morning of the 21st include St. Anthony's Church in Colombo and the San Sebastian Church on the outskirts of the city and the eastern city of Batticaloa. a church. Therefore, it is widely speculated that the attack or against the Sri Lankan Christian community.
As of now, no organization has yet expressed responsibility for these bombings. CNN-News18 and other media reported that it has been confirmed that the Shangri-La hotel attack was carried out by suicide bomber Zahran Hashim, while the man named Abu Mohammad is worshipping. The Ticklow Church carried out a bomb attack.
Wang Se, an assistant researcher at the Institute of South Asian Studies at the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, said that Christians are a minority in the Sri Lankan population and are rarely involved in ethnic issues. They have always had good relations with other ethnic groups, so the terrorist attacks are very Unexpected.
Wang Se’s analysis is likely to be a terrorist attack from outside sources. The murderer is likely to be an Islamic extremist organization against Christians, and may be a revenge against the previous New Zealand terrorist attacks.
Buddhist nationalism was very active
According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), the attack on the church was holding Easter Sunday worship. A number of photos of the interior of the church were circulated on the Internet. The ceiling was destroyed, rubble and bloody, and some people bleed on the ground.
Malcolm Ranjith, Archbishop of Colombo, told the BBC that the church does not have much safety facilities because it has never been thought of. He called on the government to conduct an unbiased investigation and punish the perpetrators. He described that only animals would do such a thing.
There is currently no organization to recognize responsibility. Sri Lankan President Sisena called on the nationals to calm down and would support the investigation. He has ordered the police and the military to investigate the behind-the-scenes of the attack and their motives.
Mao Keji, a research fellow at the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission, said in an interview with Yuxin News (
www.thepaper.cn) on the 21st that the attack opened up a complex national and religious contradiction in Sri Lanka, after the activities of Buddhist nationalism Very frequent.
“Buddhism and nationalism are highly coincident in Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan Buddhist extremist groups believe that Christianity was the legacy of Portuguese, Spanish and British colonists, while Sri Lankan Christians were considered by some nationalists to be “running dogs” of Western colonists. ", Mao Keji said.
According to the 2012 government of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka has a population of about 22 million people, 70% of whom are Buddhists, 12.6% believe in Hinduism, 9.7% are Muslims, and 7.6% Christians. The extremes of some Buddhists have attracted attention in recent years.
Mao Keji also pointed out that most of the past violent conflicts in Sri Lanka occurred between Buddhists and Muslims. According to media reports, the Sri Lankan government issued a state of emergency order in March last year because of the number of attacks on Islamic mosques in the Buddhist squad community.
There is a possibility of "retaliation" for New Zealand's terrorist attacks
However, attacks on Christian communities in Sri Lanka have also begun to become frequent in recent times. According to the BBC report, on behalf of more than 200 churches and churches in Sri Lanka, there were 86 cases of discrimination, intimidation and violence against Christians last year. This year, 26 cases were recorded. But the BBC pointed out that this is the first time so many churches have become targets of attack.
Wang Se, assistant researcher of the South Asian Institute of the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, was also surprised by the terrorist attack on the 21st. Because Christian Champions has a small population and does not involve ethnic issues, it has always had a good relationship with other ethnic groups; there are indications that the attack is not like Buddhist extremists.
"In recent years, although the Buddhist extremist organizations in Sri Lanka have also harassed Christians for forcing their conversion, the method of attacking this suicide bombing is not in line with the usual methods and objectives of these organizations. It should not be what they did." Wang said .
Wang Er analysis said that it is likely to be a terrorist attack from outside sources. The murderer is likely to be an Islamic extremist organization against Christians, and may be a revenge against the previous New Zealand terrorist attacks. On March 15, a massive shooting incident occurred in two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand's South Island city, killing 50 people.
Among the six locations that were initially attacked on the 21st, in addition to three Christian churches, there are three high-end hotels, namely the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo, and the Kingsbury Grand Hotel. Wang Se pointed out that these three top five-star hotels are also places where Western tourists often stay.
Agence France-Presse reported that the Sri Lankan police chief had received warnings of possible suicide attacks 10 days before the explosion. According to intelligence warnings, a local Islamic militant group, NTJ (National Thowheeth Jama'ath), planned to attack the famous church and the Indian High Commission. NTJ began to attract attention last year because it was alleged to involve destroying local Buddha statues.
Sri Lanka and India are both members of the Commonwealth (Great Britain Association), and the Commonwealth member states do not set up embassies and change the Office of the High Commission. Go back to Sohu and see more
