Truth be told, all the small newspaper titles in SPH would have died long ago if not for Straits Times, until recent years when ST itself succumbed to business pressures. The Business Times would have gone kaput long ago with its 25,000 to 30,000 circulation, if not for the fact that it would be embarrassing for an international financial centre not to have a business daily.
