What is miw.
The casino entry rules for local expire this year.
The casinos have grown very fat from their takings from the locals.
Also the social issues is far more important to the gov. now because of problem gambling due to the casinos.
That $100 levy was a very big mistake. First is because it did not keep out the locals and second the casinos made money hand over fist.
my personal opinion..
the $100 levy goes to the Govt and not into the casino's pockets..( channel to Govt's funds for charity..hopefully ??)
i think the $100 levy does have an effect on those "who feels it not worthwhile to drop in" ?
(there are alot of peoples..who still do not go inside..as they prefer to go KL Genting or cruise ship)
also..at least,,,you do not get "any ah Ter, ah kow" to kacau you..when you play ?
(those who cannot afford to pay $100..should at least do not drop in..)
just hope that they do not increase the levy to higher amount..!
the locals...must have discipline on money matters/management and play for entertainment..
afterall... it's gambling.. and no "sure win"..!
if they do not spent the money in the casino..they would still risk it overseas..
or buy other forms of gamblings or entertainment (4ds,soccer bets.. toto..nightclubs....etc etc..)
the amount of $100 is almost equivalent to the amount cost to travel to KL Genting by car ..
(time factor not taken in consideration..)
