I'm quite sure I've done multiple trips exceeding that monthly quota previously, luckily never trigger any action. But I've heard from some gamblers that they were invited for coffee session.
So not too sure if due to multiple visits or those who may have financial issues.

The other thing is, I wonder how they track the visits per month. I was at RWS last month and went to check the kiosk for my records. It shows that I've made 12 visits for a particular month few months back. I'm quite sure that's definitely not the case.

So let's say I buy a day levy and enter casino in the afternoon. Then I come out to go atm withdraw BR and go in again. Evening I come out to have dinner outside and go back in again. Night time come out to meet my friend for coffee chat and go back in again. Then next day still got levy balance I go in again. Think you get the idea..
Like that, considered as one visit as per one day levy, or multiple visits in a month? :p

I myself too apply for visit limit.. Which is 5visit a month. Once You purchase daily levy, You may visit as many times as You like. As long its withtin 24hours. Once You hit the limit of visit a month... Beep You will be deny entry unless it is 30 of the month waiting for 1st day of the month

Sorry if i confused anyone with my post on the 5th-visit-will-trigger-alert.

What i meant is that this alert thingy does not apply to someone who apply for self visit limit. It is for anyone ( except those under exclusion n has set visit limit ) who visit more than 5 times a month. The casino is supposed to sound the alarm to ncpg or cra ( cannot remember name of authorities ) upon a person's 5th visit. I think the casino has a system to track. But the onus lies on the casino to do the notification to the authorities. You can google for this news.

Please correct me if i am wrong. My old flower eyes may fail me. Hehe..

Don't think so, once you apply to set visit limit, will have to abide by it.

I only made multiple trips monthly while I was still on annual levy last year.
Since that expired and now on day levy, I've been going just once monthly and maybe a second trip if I've won. If I lose for the trip, that's it for the month and I'll only go back again next month, or few months later.

To clarify, I did not apply via ncpg. Mine is self limited to just one trip monthly

I think the bottom line is 'Don't gamble with money you can't afford to lose.' It doesn't matter really how many times one can limit because if there is no discipline, you can lose more in 1 visit than maybe even 8 visits per month. Partly, the reason is like what the previous bro said: "no chance to fight back when you lose if limited to one visit per month." So one may tend to bring/borrow/ ATM WD more bullets to 'fully make use' the 24 h (whether levy or not). This is natural thinking. Lose, want to fight back. Win, want to visit more, until lose. Then want to fight back again. It's a vicious cycle...
Have to occupy mind with other activities. Otherwise, only hear dum, dum, dum, RINGGGG... in your head, even when you sleep....hahaha...

I have re-read the newspaper article many times n from what i understood, i think the ncpg or cra rely on the casino to alert them if someone enters the casino more than 5 times a month. I think the casino has a system in place that will trigger an alert upon the 5th visit of the person for that month. The example that you quoted should be considered 1 visit cos within 24 hrs upon entry.

I am very mindful of this cos i really do not wish to drink coffee with them n then have to answer so many personal questions.

But at the end of the day, i think still up to the casino to do this extra work to trigger the alert.
I used to enter around 8 times per month, now i go maybe once per month. If feel lucky then add 1 or 2 more trips. But i will keep track when i enter so that i wont trigger any alert.

Come to think about it, if i enter 3 times rws n 3 times mbs, will this trigger the alert cos already 6 times a month? No mention whether both casinos combined as less than 5 per month?
Not to complicate matters, i think 1 or 2 trips a month is good enough.

When I was on annual levy last year, I definitely made more than 5 trips per month, every week at least one or two trips. Then, I already heard that ncpg is monitoring the frequency and may be invited to coffee talk. This I heard from some of the players there. But I did not encounter any, so can't comment further on that.
Recently, I also heard that if you are on day levy and exit after expiry, not only must renew for another day levy, the casino staff may also invite you for a talk as to why staying for more than 24 hours. This also a hearsay from the players, not sure if any truth in that.

I'm now paying day levy and too am just making a trip or two monthly, if lucky and winning then may go again. I think it's good that you're mindful of it, helps to serve as a deterrent and also control the urge on making too many trips.

In regards to the dealers, I've met my share of both good and bad ones. Some friendly dealers do sincerely hope you win and also nice to chat with while playing. Others hope you lose all your chips faster, so they can then close the table and rest. Well, we always got a choice. If I sense that the dealers are the latter, I'll just leave the table and go to another one. To be fair for them, I've also seen some players who will scold the dealers loudly when they lose. So it works both ways I guess. Me personally will never do that, they're just earning a living and can't control the outcome, or can they? :p kidding!

As for Baccarat, it's actually quite a simple game to play. You just bet on bank or player, 1 pay 1. Or if you're feeling lucky, tie bets pays 8x, pairs 11x and B6 15x your bet. I wouldn't say it's silly to bet on both bank and tie at the same time. But the tie bet should just be a small fraction of your main bank bet to cover. Example bet $200 on banker and just $25 on tie, If open bank, you win $165 after deduct tax and tie bet, if tie you lose bank bet $200 but win on tie so draw. if open player you lose all bets. But most seasoned players will just concentrate on either bank/player bets.
I never like rapid baccarat, prefer to play at table. They are some lower bet tables at rws of just min $25 bets if you wanna try it out.
Don't have to worry about being scolded, we all gotta learn and start somewhere. Just one thing to note, for Baccarat, never place four bets in the same box. If 3 players have placed bets in the same box, place your bet in another box. Many are "pantang" on that, 4 meaning die. So if the outcome is so, may get scolded!

Roulette is not my game of choice, but when I do play, it's mostly just a few games of hit and run. If I hit a few direct number hits, I run! If I play few games and not a single hit, I run too! Haha

One can definitely lose more in just one trip than many trips. It all boils down to discipline and control, such words being often seen here during advice postings :p

For me personally, it's not just don't gamble with money you can't afford to lose. Even if one can afford to lose, shouldn't lose too much just for enjoyment sake? I'll really kick myself and think of me being a stupid fool if I do that. Is it realistic to wanna win double or triple the BR? I'm sure there'll be many diverse opinions on that. On a lucky day, with just $200 initial first bet I've won thousands. Other days with a few thousand BR playing and wanna win just a few hundred also difficult!
So if I win straight out the gate, I'll try to max the wins for the day. If I lose and then recover, I run. Those dreadful days of straight losses and no recovery, have to cut losses and go home.

I think the casino has a system in place that will trigger an alert upon the 5th visit of the person for that month. The example that you quoted should be considered 1 visit cos within 24 hrs upon entry.

I am very mindful of this cos i really do not wish to drink coffee with them n then have to answer so many personal questions.

But at the end of the day, i think still up to the casino to do this extra work to trigger the alert.
I used to enter around 8 times per month, now i go maybe once per month. If feel lucky then add 1 or 2 more trips. But i will keep track when i enter so that i wont trigger any alert.

Come to think about it, if i enter 3 times rws n 3 times mbs, will this trigger the alert cos already 6 times a month? No mention whether both casinos combined as less than 5 per month?
Not to complicate matters, i think 1 or 2 trips a month is good enough.

I post this alert thingy cos am curious why some bros seems to go casino so frequently but no one mentioned about this restriction. Maybe bros here have good financial records so no worries?

When I was on annual levy last year, I definitely made more than 5 trips per month, every week at least one or two trips. Then, I already heard that ncpg is monitoring the frequency and may be invited to coffee talk. This I heard from some of the players there. But I did not encounter any, so can't comment further on that.
Recently, I also heard that if you are on day levy and exit after expiry, not only must renew for another day levy, the casino staff may also invite you for a talk as to why staying for more than 24 hours. This also a hearsay from the players, not sure if any truth in that.

I'm now paying day levy and too am just making a trip or two monthly, if lucky and winning then may go again. I think it's good that you're mindful of it, helps to serve as a deterrent and also control the urge on making too many trips.

In regards to the dealers, I've met my share of both good and bad ones. Some friendly dealers do sincerely hope you win and also nice to chat with while playing. Others hope you lose all your chips faster, so they can then close the table and rest. Well, we always got a choice. If I sense that the dealers are the latter, I'll just leave the table and go to another one. To be fair for them, I've also seen some players who will scold the dealers loudly when they lose. So it works both ways I guess. Me personally will never do that, they're just earning a living and can't control the outcome, or can they? :p kidding!

As for Baccarat, it's actually quite a simple game to play. You just bet on bank or player, 1 pay 1. Or if you're feeling lucky, tie bets pays 8x, pairs 11x and B6 15x your bet. I wouldn't say it's silly to bet on both bank and tie at the same time. But the tie bet should just be a small fraction of your main bank bet to cover. Example bet $200 on banker and just $25 on tie, If open bank, you win $165 after deduct tax and tie bet, if tie you lose bank bet $200 but win on tie so draw. if open player you lose all bets. But most seasoned players will just concentrate on either bank/player bets.
I never like rapid baccarat, prefer to play at table. They are some lower bet tables at rws of just min $25 bets if you wanna try it out.
Don't have to worry about being scolded, we all gotta learn and start somewhere. Just one thing to note, for Baccarat, never place four bets in the same box. If 3 players have placed bets in the same box, place your bet in another box. Many are "pantang" on that, 4 meaning die. So if the outcome is so, may get scolded!

Roulette is not my game of choice, but when I do play, it's mostly just a few games of hit and run. If I hit a few direct number hits, I run! If I play few games and not a single hit, I run too! Haha

Just to relate this funny incident on playing baccarat on the SC. This guy was betting $100 on Banker and Player every round. The pit boss told him he cannot bet like that anymore. He was very angry. He says where does it says he cannot do this. If B6 wins the casino win $50 from him. So what is wrong with that.
He ask to see the casino manager. The CM told him the pit boss is right. I don't know how it was explain to him. I think the casino has it written somewhere if they think the guy is not a genuine gambler they can stop him. They think he is playing for the points and Comps and not really gambling. Do you think the casino is right knowing they would probably lose him as a client.

Thanks for your detailed explanation on baccarat. Initially i thought tie pays 6 or 8x. Never know got different payment types. I dont dare to play at table cos really no confidence. I feel that i need to know the game very well then my chances of winning is higher. For eg, there are times when dealer made a mistake n pay me lesser, i will ask for it. Share a silly incident with you. Once i won $1400 on a single number n i thought it is just $700 win. I am always confused with putting 1 or 2 chips for a min $10 bet. So i thought my 4 chips win is a $20 bet instead of a $40 bet. Hahaha... so i told dealer i want $300 cash n the rest colour. Then i spread $1100 of colour chips in the next game ( head still thought i am placing $400 colour chips ). Hahaha... of course i lost the next game. With $300 in my pocket, i left the table but still linger around the table to check on which number comes next. That moment heart still havent feel sayang about my loss.
