Every round you get 0.44points and lose $10. If you want 1000 points I suggest you add another 0 to the bets i.e. 100, 1800, 1800.
I thought points are awarded based on play and not how much you lose? I don't play roulette so I don't know the policy there but from what I know points are usually calculated on play regardless of win/loss. In slots at RWS, you earn 1 point for approximately $200 worth spun. I am pretty certain of this because I usually count the number of spins before the point balance moves up and this happens whether you are losing or winning. Thus if a player's aim is to earn points, the strategy is to look for low volatility type of games which allow you to play more spins with the same bank roll. One of my favourite slots is the wheel of fortune one which nobody here seems to ever talk about. In most sessions, $200-300 goes a long way because the bonus feature triggers a lot easier than the aristocrat type of games. On an above average day my initial play of $300 can net 10 points without making a loss and if you keep on hitting the bonus, your game will continue to roll for a long time. There was one day I sat there for 5 hours with a bankroll of $500 and I netted 100 points. It's slow of course but you can manage your win/loss a lot better than many of the other machines.
