If you are serious about Blackjack then MBS is much better than RWS. MBS plays the American BJ rules ( house advantage, 0.15% ). RWS plays the European BJ, HA 0.44%. But this assume you are playing perfect Basic Strategy. Do you play 100% Basic Strategy.

No, can't afford to be serious. I find the rest purely a luck game (e.g. Three Pictures, Baccarat, etc) - you can't do anything with the cards dealt to you. With Blackjack, at least you have a bit of control over what to do with your cards. So that's why I like it. It's still a luck game, even if you play perfect basic strategy.

I remember while playing Pontoon (a variation of Blackjack) at Genting Highlands, a guy telling me Pontoon is the only card game he plays (after switching from Baccarat). So I asked him how frequent he comes to Genting. He's from KL and said the makes the trip up once every fortnight. You must be winning then? He said, well, not every time but mostly. That night, he said was his worst - lost his entire bankroll in a few hours. I figured, despite his loss that night, that Pontoon is a probably a game worth learning to play. So that's how I came to play Pontoon and then recently Blackjack.

I also find Texas hold 'em quite fun - not the kind where you play against the other players and can All IN. But the variation that's played at both MBS and RWS, where you play against the dealer.

Is the house edge lower for Pontoon than Blackjack at MBS? I didn't get round to ask, so maybe you can help with the following:

1) Besides 9, 10 and 11, can you double on soft 13 to 20?

2) Can you surrender? If so, based on dealer's what cards?

3) If the dealer has Bj, do you lose all split hands or only your original hand?

Texas is fun and deadly (BR down fast); been playing texas > 20 yrs in US n Australia; the progressive n the round table type; I dont play the roundtable type (against players) here as the players are tanchiak and aggressive n show off, stick to the progressive against house type. If you're not making headway w say $1k BR then move on as the odds are against you (>5% house edge). Play for fun and if u get the bonuses n better still jpot...hurrah.
Caribbean is a real bore, for the unties n uncles , it's a zombie type game.

As for me, I am at constant winning for the past one week but I don't wish to reveal the amount and too much information about my winning as I knew there is someone (possible from RWS) is reading our posts here. And this person knows all my details. I have not use my card to play since the day I received the warning so I use with friend's, nieces, sis and bil's card, although the point earing is a little slow but earning real hard CASH is more important than any other things else . Holding what card status is no longer important to me, I have already achieved 18k GP points which is more than enough to maintain my card status till next Mar. Oh by the way, my card was left at one of membership counter internationally and I am sure the staff will discover it soon. I wonder how they going to return to me? If they return me by mail, I will leave it at another counter again, childish act I know. If they hand it over to me personally, this is going to be interesting, how do they locate me I wonder.

Re your card, I think they will not return to you. There are so many customers day in and day out. I am sure there are a lot of cases of cards left behind by forgetful customer. It will be costly to mail or try to locate customers to return them the card.

Since they know all your details including how you look like, the monitoring survellience would have imprinted your facial features and may monitor you as "special VIP".
This mode of survellience is used mainly for illicit activities. Of course they are not applicable to you as you are a genuine player just that they found your video taking an infringement and now want to take the opportunity to catch you again and blacklist you. As long you do not do it again have no fear

I used to continue playing even I win and eventually gave back all my winning and BR. After the incident, I have this sickening feeling that I am not welcome by RWS, I am most winning to leave the place once I hit something, should it be just a few hundred bucks or few thousand, I am happy to leave the place, unlike last time, few hundred was not consider a winning and I will continue playing until the last min.
"Transform" love to hate and for the past 10 days, I have made RWS "paid" for my road tax, car insurance, 4 sets of 19" new tyres, utility bills and partial of my income tax. They better don't make me angry for the second time!

I am yet to be qualified as a "special VIP" as my case is not that serious. What really pissed me off was the manager's attitude.
I stay low profile these days by using friend's member card to play. I don't play long hour so I suppose they are that free to monitor the CCTV to check my where about everyday.

Great to hear you are good and well. Do continue to use rws as your ATM, please dun give chance and withdraw from them as much as you can.

Personally, being a annual levy member with rws since opening I have never felt appreciated by them. Lousy perks and customer retention non existent. Once my levy is up, will either switch to mbs or cruise. They have just lost another loyal patron and I am sure me not being the only one.
