>jjcc88,
Wish you all the best and bring home BIG MONEY!
Thanks kia and all the other bros for your good wishes !
I'm back and here's my genting FR :
No chance at BIG MONEY since all the jackpot slots in the main genting area were occupied .....
Left Singapore just before 8am but only reached genting ard 3.30 pm by coach on Thurs
Did my Triple Deal 'free RM160 with S$100 MBS/RWS levy ticket' etc outside Monte Carlo area [fish-tank]
ie. pay RM200 [initial capital] to get RM360 slot credit after our Resort Hotel Check-in
Found the whole procedure for this EXTREMELY INEFFICIENT as had got to go over to the Cashier TWICE to get the credits keyed into the World Card
Then went to utilise free Meal Voucher at New Orleans + ordered Soft-Shelled Crab and a Whole slab of pork rib to share with the free chicken chop set meal as our late lunch/early dinner [practically famished by then]
Then went up to main genting casino to try to locate my fav travel slot
Checked almost everywhere esp. at last known spot + asked some attendants too
Conclusion : those travel slots are no more :(
No chance really to play the jackpot slots in the main casino as it was especially crowded
The main casino has changed vastly since my last trip over a year ago
There are now MANY MORE electronic table games therefore the whole casino floor area is VERY VERY SQUEEZED & PACKED = very cramped & congested feel
I'd noticed one of my fav MBS Silver & Gold 4-in-1 progressive slots at the upper [2nd escalator] Monte Carlo level while on the way up to the New Orleans Restaurant
My friend then suggested since we couldn't get any free slot over at the crowded main genting casino, why not play over at the very much less crowded Monte Carlo area instead ?
So we did just that and spent over 3 hours just at that ONE slot :p
I really had a GREAT TIME there [with my friend "cheering" me on etc] there as I did real well there - many many free games [many of them with the 25 games x3 too .... am so well-versed with this slot so can guess quite accurately where the 25s are most of the time ....]
My HIGHEST free game earned fetched over 13,000 credits = 5ct [divided by 2] ---> RM620 !!!
[Everyone around was busy watching with all the 'noise' from the machine paying out - my friend later told me that the attendant was busy taking down the no. of the slot several times that night too]
In all, my winnings from that slot that night was over 10x my initial RM200 capital -----> OVER RM2200 !!!
Then we stopped to get a drink and back to the main genting casino
After trying out a few available slots there, my friend suggested going back to Monte Carlo since the games here were very much-less 'slower to her with fewer hits' and the place was too smokey too
While there I heard a lady saying someone had just got a jackpot from a slot a few aisles away ???
So back to Monte Carlo for Phase 2 Play at the same slot
The usual UPs and DOWNS from a reduced credit ----> but managed to keep at around the RM2k level
Then my friend said she was sleepy and went back to the room alone as I said the night was still young and I had only very limited time left to play [till 6am or so ?] since we will be leaving for Malacca the next morning after breakfast
As usual with prolonged play - lost all winnings and more capital
:o
BUT I'd only lost LESS THAN HALF of the total capital [RM2k] I'd prepared for this trip - so can be said to be quite DISCIPLINED [also maybe also playing mood lost after randomly trying-out some other slots there without much returns etc]
I guess I SHOULD forget about continued play and just have STOPPED when my winnings hit over RM2000 or 10x my initial capital
Really do a HIT & RUN then :o:(
Sighs - but Stop Play so early ????
Anyway I played/earned almost 100 GPs this trip !
BTW I didn't step into the FWH Starworld Casino at all .....
For Malacca :
TIP : Forget about the Jonker Walk Pasar Malam especially over a holiday weekend when it's very very crowded
Sheer humid sweaty torture wading thru' that sea of humanity !!!!
Our Equatorial Hotel location was very 'central' with shopping and food places around - ate our dinner and lunch over at the within walking-distance old established Makko Nyonya Restaurant [great chendol]
Also did reflexology & a 2-hr body massage
[tho' got ripped off with a RM30 'pedicure' which was basically just removing dead skin from sole of feet and 'splicing off' a couple of toe-nails : NOT the usual spa type feet-pampering pedicure with nail varnishing etc]
Overall a Not Too Bad Trip
BUT the long journey to genting - needs re-considering esp since no longer the young active gal I used to be - climbing up the coach several times takes its toll esp since I've a 'weakened knee joint' from a previous dislocation & 'sitting too long at casino seats without sufficient sleep/rest gives rise to leg cramps too' etc
NOT UNLESS I take those private chauffeured vehicles where it costs like some S$106 [or more by now ?] per pax from door-step pickup/dropoff [for altogather a group of 4 or 6] - very comfortable and convenient reaching genting at 1pm too - even my mom is spoilt and says she would only accompany me to genting if we were to use THAT mode of transport again
But then that was with a group of friends - now so difficult to get together a group to travel these days !
EDIT : We tried going into genting's International Room IR but were rejected after our cards were swiped
Would anyone know why ??? We didn't bother to ask since there was a long line after us ....
Read from another forum that the Big Pau in the IR were delicious
