Small question which I hope you don't mind answering. By the time RWS gave you the gold/platinum card, approximately how many GP have you earned? I have had unconfirmed reports that at Genting without a direct recommendation from a pit boss, they will usually offer you Gold if you hit 600 GP in 1 year and Platinum if you hit 5,000 GP in 1 year.

For Gold,
RW Genting 1000 points in 1 year
RW Sentosa 1188 points in 1 year

For Plat I dunno but i have around 7000 points this year still gold.

Anyways just came back from MBS (haven been there in a year), a lot of new different games from RWS and the points feels like it accumulates faster but essentially useless.

Profit of $1800 from various machines in the morning but in the end went back at night and donated back :(

If you play RM 300 a hand bacarrat at Genting, you only clock about 130 gp for 3 hrs play or about 45 gp per hour. 7,000 gp per year translates to about 155 hrs at a RM 300 a hand baccarat, way above the 100 hr rule of thumb to get a platinum upgrade.

If you have earned 7,000+ gp, worth asking them to review your case and see if they will give you platinum. Even if they don't, it would be helpful to get an indication as to the amount of gp they are looking at before they will give you.

I have not played this in the IR before. My only brief brush with this maker are the 2 machines in Safra Yishun a few years back. Not sure if they are still there. My initial impression was the GUI is abit sluggish and these 2 machines are not very popular there.

I have not seen it in RWS. Will try if they are introduce.

Anyway, back to my FR. After the last rewarding outing where I get 2 Fish FH in a feature on 150cr bet, the last outing was the opposite. I went straight to PS. Sat down on a 5D. Wow, hit feature very soon on 300cr. Lousy. Hit feature again....lousy. Hit more feature and by now I am on 450cr. and from 10 free games to 25 free games, I tried all but just very mediocre payout. I tell myself, should I move on or continue. On one hand, there are features, but on the other hand, the feature sucks. In the end, I burned all my BR despite having more features than my neighbour and returned my previous winnings....sigh.

I tried before quite a while ago and the gameplay is clunky and the feel of the game is messy , the whole feeling is just not cool and slick compared to other machines

However, yesterday I got bored and wanted to try something different. 5 rows of dragons on a 2 dollar bet on Lotus Prince and won 800$ odd dollars then I got hooked haha. But in the end threw back more than what it paid which is normal.

Its always 1 day win then another lose, then maybe lose for another 5 trips. Then 1 winning trip again and the cycle continues.
After awhile, loosing on the same games for 2 years is not fun, the local casinos are VERY EXTREMELY slow in bringing in new games because of the nonsense with CRA

Actually intending to cut down on play locally. Have been losing too much too consistently with little or no joy in playing the same machines day in day out.
I never actually won anything super big before and whatever is won is quickly returned in the next 2 to 3 visits.

Rather save up now and visit Macau monthly over the weekends. The rooms are always free and they give free play a lot a lot more (like 5 times more)
Not to mention, tons and tons of new games.
I lose the same amount but playing newer games and enjoy more with really nice free rooms and great food.

I used to play Aruze for a while, particularly like Qin Shi Huang, Shan Guo and Queen. But the Rescue Spin countdown feature is really a killer. Its like a super glue. Imagine playing from 500 countdown to 250 with no feature. What do you do? Continue or give up? Conitue and then reach 100 and still no feature, if you give up now, there will be packs of vultures waiting to jump in. Then you continue all the way to Rescue Spin and it turned out to be a lousy feature that does not even pay enough to cover the 500 spins that you have gone through...... LL.

I must say at times, the features are quite rewarding....but the super glue effect is what I dont like. Now, I will just play occasionally if I happen to bump into any Aruze that has a counter showing 300 or less (hard to come by).

I never have luck playing Aruze. I walk away even I see a machine leaving less than 50spins countdown to resuce spin.

FROM THE CRA WEBSITE:

So what does this mean? Does it mean that the machine must have a setting available at 90% payout but it does not need to be set at 90% ? 89% also can ?

what i usually do is...

i go in if there's "rescue spins" machines available with less than 250-300 to go..I go in

when it reaches less than 100.. i "double or triple" stake (increase bets)

and with less than 10 games (maximum bets all the way) if budget permits

in this way, even if free games comes.., before "rescue spins"..
you still get a big bonus due to higher bets..

i also got burnt before..with less than 3 games to go on min. bets..(last time..and i just couldn't believed it too! -haha)

however, if rescue spins comes in..
be prepared for poor/good payout (needs to be on the right timings/more wilds/free games chosen..etc)

As far as i know, the payout percentage have to be at least 90%. I know RWS set most of the machines at 93% and MBS at 90%. This percentage does not include progressvie prizes. Eg: MBS FaFaFa for instant, the game payout percentage is 85% and balance 5% goes to the pool prize, so it is 90%.
HOWEVER, as a player we do not know what's the actual fact happens behind closed doors. It is possible that the IRs make adjustment to the payout percentage during certain days/time. They may tighten their games during weekends and losen them on weekdays.
It is not a requirement to display the RTP on each machine. Eg: Azure 96% payout. Honestly, I don't understand what are they trying to mean?? But it is for sure that the 96% huge button has mislead many players that it payout 96%.

My sentiment too. I have been bitten many times chasing the feature on max bet knowing with certainty that it will come. The missing variable from the equation is the "payout", which is the killer. For Aruze, beside the count down to rescue spin, there is another counter which is the muliplier. If we hit feature and that counter is "big", the payout tends to be better. But, there is no guarantee that it will be a big one to cover the max bets. I suppose, this game is not suitable for max bet player.
