About 25yrs ago the most exciting front page news of straits times was a foiled ‘Spider-Man’ burglary attempt. By the time the ‘Spider-Man’ reached 2nd floor, the police was already there welcoming him with handcuffs.
Who would have thought that in 2021, singapore wd have murders with someone’s brain matter splattered across the corridor like smashed waffles with lotsa strawberry sauce, followed by an axe-wielding 16-yr old murderer in a secondary school? These incidents would only happen frequently on tv 25yrs ago, not in real life.

How come kids can go to school so early in the morning? During my schooldays, I only attended 1-2 morning assemblies per year. Every morning sure late. To avoid being booked by prefects, I would climb in from the low wall at the back of the school. That was a a very good training to prepare me for my BMT. I never had any problem with my SOC low wall obstacle.

I think every school should have a designated evacuation gathering point outside the school whenever such incidents happen.
