Chitchat Sinkie Prettyboy Reservist Aloysius Pang Seriously Injured In NZ While Fucking Around With Howitzer! Guess Whether He Uplorry! Boss Sam Please Help!

The initial fact finding already revealed that Aloysius had 9 seconds to move his fat ass which he did not. No other technician who operated on the howitzer before got hurt or killed in a similar fashion. It was Aloysius' fault.

Is he supposed to be given the special treatment simply because of his status as a local celebrity? The 'white horse' system was put in place precisely to ensure that the prominent NSF and NSmen do not receive preferential treatment.

Initial or Preliminary? There is a BIG difference.
CMA findings should be the apt description.

If you are not so blur, you will read and understand my post does not say what you think I said.

If you think one small incident like this plus irrational hate from your guys can bring down the PAP, you are naive.

If you allow your hatred of the PAP to replace one asshole (PAP) with another (Lim Thean/ LWL. etc) then you are foolish.

The PAP will be there forever. Live with it. The only way the PAP can be gotten rid of is through other means. Elections is a waste of time when the PM runs the election.

Guys let's move on.
It doesn't matter whose fault
Ash to ash ,dust to dust.

Facts meant to be found out not twisted.
At least we not like mediacorp who wants to capitalize by showing his past movie again.

Why are people posthumously promoted/awarded?

I’m not sure if it was widely picked up in the news, but I read that the unfortunate PTE Liu Kai who died tragically yesterday would be posthumously promoted to CFC.

I came across a few comments wondering on the meaning or purpose behind a posthumous promotion/award and it kind of peaked my interest, so I went to do some research :-)

Yes, no promotion or even monetary amount can ever fully compensate families on the loss of a loved one in service. After all, how can you possibly put a price on a loved one’s life? :-( Be that as it may, there are a few ‘benefits’ (for lack of a better word) in a posthumous promotion/award, from what I can find online. Not all are applicable to Singapore, but an interesting read nonetheless: Given that rank and decorations are a big deal in the military, a promotion to the highest rank possible signifies a recognition of the persons service in the uniform.

To some, rank may be meaningless, but think of it as a letter of appreciation or a plaque - it is a form of recognition by the organisation to officially acknowledge his service and sacrifices to the service. One interesting example of this was when US Delta Force snipers Shugart and Gordon were posthumously awarded the Medal of Honour for their sacrifices in Somalia (go watch Black Hawk Down - Jaime Lannister is one of the snipers hahaha).

While it technically serves no purpose to them since they are dead, it was a gesture by the US Army to recognise their sacrifices in service, and how their contributions led to the betterment of the organisation. Not sure if this applies to the SAF, but I read that rank in some branches of the US military recognise rank as a benchmark for the amount of military compensation for the family. Thus, promotion to the highest rank possible accords the family with the highest financial compensation possible.

If you know any other possible reasons, feel free to add them below! I’m not sure when it became the SAF’s policy to posthumously promote servicemen who tragically die during service, but I feel it’s a good policy to have. In any tragedy, some form of comfort and appreciation is better than none at all.

Rest In Peace CFC Liu Kai, thank you for your service.

If you have not realised by now, National Service has become a religion for Singaporeans.

Something that cannot be questioned, lest the act of criticism or comment become blasphemy and you risk excommunicated by the nation for being a non-believer.

That generals who are akin to the bishops cannot be questioned as they are the leaders of the faith appointed by God or in the case of the armed forces, infallible civil servants who are the elites of our society.

In the cases of child abuses, the fault of the churches is to protect those who are guilty of the offence. Whereas in the case of SAF, we just have to recall what happened to the officers in Dominique Lee's incident where they only had a deferment of promotion.

No one is saying that no NS means no nation defence for Singapore and throw our hands up in the event of an invasion, just like one can choose to renounce one's religion without falling to immorality and vices.

And for many, what they ask for, is a re-look at NS and also to explore the deep rooted issues that led to the unfortunate incidents that have shook the country.

But yet, staunch defenders of NS, the system, and its leaders, ask that these should not be questioned, for they protect all that we hold dear. Look at South Korea and Taiwan which are clearly at a higher risk than that of Singapore, and the way how they talk about conscription versus how we touch on the topic.

What room is there for discussion on the matter especially for the male conscripts and their parents/guardians? Also on the viral Facebook posts made by officers, former officers and warrant officers, how much truth and emotions do the posts represent for the bottom ranks?

Singapore is no longer surrounded by countries that are run by despots like Suharto and one-party rule such as Barisan Nasional where a war can be started without the approval of the general populace.

If our army personnel don't understand this simple logic, what kind of sound strategic maneuvers can they think of in times of real war and what common sense to rely on. But of course, if they refer NS as their religion and the one and only truth.

Faith is all that matters.

NS is the final act of brainwashing. In case all the years of educational brainwashing have not worked, NS ensure that male sinkees are forced to imprint in their head that they are to follow and not question.

If your source is credible and reliable, that would make sense then and explain everything. It will confirm what those of us who are not as clever as Whiny Winnie have suspected since there's no way a young able-bodied man cannot simply sidestep and move out of the way of barrel travelling at a rate of less than 1 km/hr.

One can only hope it's not due to one of those "Selfie Olympic" nonsense where people compete to take the most dangerous selfies.

two guys in the space ...they are the only witnesses. It is definitely 'critical' thinking to dismiss everything else, like the commander did not check to ensure that the space was free of people before lowering the gun, or there was some mechanical failure. Yes, the CONman's source must be correct.

Yes very sad. It is a huge loss for family and loved ones.

This one is pretty clear cut. Tragedy.

Unfortunately not like previous cases nothing to do with commanders or generals. If anything it will give more fuel to tekan NSmen to tell them to wake up idea and for their own safety take things seriously from now on.

A visual inspection by the person pushing the button to ensure that everyone is safely away is all that is needed. NSmen are not even part-time soldiers; three weeks annually, so why the pointless expectations?

First a celebrity involved follow by in a overseas exercise.
Whole world looking at it.

I
So many patients worse than polyclinic.
U doc at free clinic.

Health care is universal here in Canada. So every patient I see I bill the government. The patient pays $0.

They do have to pay for their own medications though at the pharmacy which is not part of the clinic. Many have medicine coverage through insurance plans from employer or various schemes.

Very refreshing not having to haggle with patients about $$.oh and all tests are covered too. Blood work. X ray. Ultrasound. CT scan. MRI. Steroid injections done by radiologists also covered. See specialist also covered.

276 patients a day. Dont be fooled by the "day".
How many hours the guy work man?

Also how much does a dr earn per patient seen at this fast speed?

You will be surprised. I prefer to go for low volume high payout per patient type work.

Cos dealing with people is the hardest part. Less people to deal with = less headache.

He is a GP? What is a lot? Count in terms of how many bungalows he can buy a year. Or how many toyota Corolla he can buy a year.

Singapore always looks like "a lot" on paper but what can you buy with that figure?
