The female Singaporeans are usually working on the same airplane....
I thought SIA girls are Malaysians.

And from then on, Sean Lim became the no 1 enemy of every NSF who travelled abroad for official purposesSean Lim Wei Xin

Army Officers should only travel in C-130 Cargo planes.
Too many medals and decorations on his uniform makes him look like a funeral band master; especially if he replaces his beret with a cowboy hat!
This letter writer is always a sabo king! Most of his previous letters are also in similar vein. I suspect its also simply a case of sour grapes/envy! The letter writer is probably not an officer and thus will never have the privilege of better seats in the aircraft while on overseas exercise. I had a run in with a dumbass LCP from my reservist unit who was a senior VP in a bank in civilian life about seating in an aircraft. The guy was all flustered about the officers having better seats. I mean NS does teach you that RHIP - rank has its privileges - just like in real life!
What whistleblower? Let the business class seats go empty? Bo koleng mah.Your sour grapes is actually whistleblowing. Surprised u don't know the difference. Abused of privilege and corruption is excused as Rank has privilege, which is not the same thing. High ranking officer goes into canteen in a camp and eat but does not pay. Rank has privilege, right? Lower ranks pay for their food, he no need, right? Where do you draw the line? Travel is stated in an SAF policy somewhere. But because the SAF is not transparent about these sort of things, whistleblowers have to call them on it. U wonder why the defence budget is 40% more then the health budget, at $10 billion, then u look at abuses like this.

An army officer I knew from my national service days was travelling to Australia recently for a military exercise. From his social media account, I saw that he was travelling in business class on a commercial airline (Air New Zealand). Another friend, a junior NSF officer, also travelled in business class to an overseas military exercise some years ago.
Thus, it seems that commissioned officers, whether regulars or NSFs, get to enjoy the privilege of travelling in business class for overseas missions.
I am curious over the need for them to do so, although this may be acceptable if the entire flight is chartered by the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) or if the officers fork out their own money for a seat upgrade.
Is it because officers need the privacy on board to work on sensitive documents? Some might argue that officers deserve to travel on business class because they serve the country. But if that is the basis, then all soldiers should travel on business class too since their contributions are not insignificant either.
I can accept it if the SAF has a legitimate reason behind such an arrangement, but without any justification, the public may construe this as an unnecessarily extravagant use of taxpayers' resources. After all, a business class ticket is much more expensive than an economy class one.

Men in Military should be restricted to travel only by Military transportation. Civilian and Military don't mix.
But how stupid can you be with this kind of comments? U telling me the SAF keeps a fleet of military transports to fly individual officers around the world? U want the SAF to spend millions of dollars to assign one transport plane to fly one officer to New Zealand? Even when we send soldiers to Taiwan for Starlight, and we have plenty enough to fill up a military transport, we still use commercial airlines to do that. Commercial airlines are by far the most efficient form of transport.
If you would plug your head out from your own ass, then you would understand why civilian and military should never mix not even if it save the military a few millions.
U truly are a dumb fuck. Only a cunt would think its reasonable to spend multimillion $ to task a military pilot and a military transport to fly one officer to NZ. Are you Stuffycunt's clone, because u sound just like that brainless cow.
SAF is a big joke, they should all travel in sampan.
Can i ask if other armies are flying commercial. Because i know ameeican troops coming back from war only takes contractor planesHow is that the SAF's problem? If airline cannot sell the seats, that is their business, not SAF.
If dontch fly business class, SIA will bankrupt.
