Singaporeans, especially the older generation who have endured poverty and hardship, are morally outraged by the Opposition's no show at Dr Goh's state funeral.

This goes to show the lack of integrity in the ranks of the Opposition. On the otherhand, all the senior PAP members was present to pay tribute to one of our founding fathers, showing once again their righteousness and integrity.

I have no doubt the late Dr Goh is a great man with many outstanding achievements. However even if he wanted to rise above politics, he wasn't given the chance because he is and will always be a PAP man. Even during his eulogy speech, PM Lee took the opportunity to emphasise the greatness of PAP who owed a debt of gratitude to such a visionary man. I naively thought he was a leader for all Singaporeans regardless of one's political persuasions. Even if the opposition stalwarts wanted to pay their respects close up at every photo opportunity, it would very much depend on the powers-that-be, not just limited to the funeral planners.
