Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim is now the new owner of Spanish club Valencia

So the football guru happy like fook, another sucker is born. if F 1; football can make money and come to you, the pig can fly! Just watch how much Peter Lim will lose.

Peter Lim's first priority is to ensure that Valencia qualifies for Champions League the following season. Once that is done, money will flow in. More prestige also means the better players are more inclined to join the club.

There has to be more to this then meets the eye. Vincent Tan uses his club to network and look after influential contacts. They or their kids love football especially the Malaysians.

I wonder if this is what the intention is all about as well as the TV rights fees which are expected to rise again.

Ha...ha... Peter Lim is a businessman earning billions... Certain peoples here do not even had a million and trying to teach him how to do business??? Like the old saying. Please do not teach your dad how to fuck.:D

I thought he brought Ronaldo over for some scholarship thing? Sorry I thought you were referring to that. Now that I think of it, I think the press only reported the Ronaldo story. Assume the Mourinho link is from your sources?

They met Sultan of Johor in JB.

What does a dumbfuck ex-cop like you know about doing business? You can keep your snarky jibes to yourself, imbecile.

People as rich or even richer than Peter Lim had made mistakes with their respective football clubs, some of which are supported by us.

I wish Peter Lim all the success in La Liga. But it will not be easy as the league is dominated financially by the two El Clasico teams.

Get Real. Valencia previous owners has been selling their top players like Mata, Soldado, David Silva, David Villa for profits over club ambition after realizing that La Liga is a two horse race between Barcelona and Real Madrid until Atletico Madrid gave them a run for their money this season and 3rd place in the league table was the best they could finish.

Ha...ha...ha... You are right... Very rich people make mistake and make losses... They already thought of it when they intend to invest... But clever people like you suggested that he need to get the club into champion league and money will flow... A kid know about it too... What type of fuck suggestion you are giving?who do not know you need to win as many games as possible, if possible win all the games you play and also get all the trophies... The problem is how??? Ha..ha... Stupid ass try to act smart..:kma:

Valencia played better under Hector Cuper. Benitez inherited the squad.

I trust your judgment GD. Valencia used to be great under Benitez. Their team then was fantastic. Hope Peter Lim brings some glory back to them.

this is guy is v smart...from where I know..the Raffles Town Club..then to invest in Malaysia he joint-venture
with the most powerful person in Johor...so just wait n see if I am right

More profitable? Not necessarily so. You can lose a lot of money through stupid business decisions e.g. buying overpriced shit players, building a new stadium and failing to fill its capacity etc, and when the fans turn against you, you may be forced to sell the club at a big loss.

yes im aware that football clubs are terrible investments,i read that only 5 of major league clubs are profitable, which means a success rate of what?5%2%?

but it could be cheap to start one from scratch what with 6 billion people on earth and 5 billion living in poverty.....dun need pay 40 million for a 2nd rate star.....$100k can easily train me some talent from africa or argentina....40 million can buy 400 "talents" hopefully i can make a winning team out of them.....even if the club not so good i can still sell to some asian idiot with a huge ego for $400 million euros.

Peter Lim is a business genius.

He doesnt buy high and sell low. First bio Liverpool. Not doing well. Then Valancia. Also not doing well. AC was next target. Doing badly. Other than the club he now owns, other two were branded. If he can turn the sleeping giants up, I have no doubts he will sell when the $ is right. Too big an investment to play masak masak..

I wonder when Mdm Ho will start punting Temasek shares in football clubs.

I don't think he is a supporter for Liverpool, AC Milan or Valencia.
Purely business, Valencia is very marketable,
later he sells it to some Arab royals for $1B.

Look, the grim reality is that Valencia finished 8th this season in the La Liga table. Next season if Diego Simeone stays then they will have to fight it out with Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Athletic Club for the top four spots for UCL qualification. And Athletic Club has been doing well under Ernesto Valverde.

I am no expert on La Liga or Lim but running high profile European clubs is not easy.
Asians have poor experience in owning and running Premier League sides. Peter Lim I suspect will be no different with Valencia who have sold some of their best players.

He needs to attract top talent and that only comes via CL qualification.
