"they not revealing the details agreement such as price"?
i thought everyone know Singapore pays Johor 3 sen per thousand gallons of raw water and Johor pays Singapore 50 sen per thousand gallons of treated water.

"failure to supply, revocation etc suggests more sinister hands doing the deal as the Malaysian cabinet and politics are on an upheaval no scrutiny done even by Malaysian media."
so far i been living in sg for the past 38 years everyday there no shortage of water coming from Malaysia. what is there to report when everything is in order like the water still flow to singapore everyday.

if malaysia got cheat or undertable i am very sure we all get to know from singapore news because what i know singapore id very strict with all this things

SINGAPORE: Malaysia's largest electricity utility, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), and Singapore-based solar firm Sunseap Group announced on Tuesday (Mar 2) they are forming a joint venture to trial clean electricity imports into Singapore from Malaysia.

The partnership will import 100 megawatts of electricity to be generated from renewable energy sources, TNB and Sunseap said in a joint statement, which did not give any financial details.

The venture will contribute to Singapore's long-term efforts to power its future "through clean and green energy sources", said Frank Phuan, co-founder and chief executive of Sunseap, which is backed by institutional investors including Goldman Sachs, Temasek and DBS Group Holdings.

In October, Singapore said it plans to trial clean energy imports from Malaysia over two years to assess and refine the technical and regulatory frameworks for power imports into the city-state and boost the security of its energy supply as part of a series of moves aimed at reducing its carbon footprint.

The electricity to be imported by the partners could account for about 1.5 per cent of Singapore's peak electricity demand, and could begin as early as end-2021 via the existing electricity interconnector between Singapore and Malaysia, the joint statement said.

Sultan of johore constructing a massive 450MW solar farm in penggerang where petronas petrochemical plants are located.
Peninsular. Malaysia power generating a massive 40% or more power than it actually needs.
If you want cheap electricity, sarawak with its massive hydro power potential is the place.

Sinkies can have 4500MW immediately as the power plants are on the johore straits shores. One coal fired. The other lng.

simple logic....Power Plant sold go to Gov pocket, power you buy come from your pocket, and it is not Sg gov problem if Malaysia wanted to increase pricing.

Will it ever take off? Since when Johor is independent from KL central government?

Muhyiddin is from johore
From the way they do things. It isn't impossible but do they have the marketing skills and the technical ability to manage the project?

If they can market and sell off the excess energy, I would say Singapore start to be fucked. Next they will try their hands in selling their water. Store, collect, purify all the excess water.

Thailand used to buy power from KL too. Not sure about current situation. As their peak demand is about 8-10pm while KL,its during the day.

If water and electricity is done, they will develop their industry along Johor. They will hire Malaysian Chinese on the cheap too.

Next they will start to develop their port and

It will be cheaper for jb to just allow free trade and use sinkie port.
What PAP did not say about water is the huge water reserve land in jiu hu about the size of sinkie and under sinkie administration. Everytime water issue crops up, to jiu hu guys, its not just sbout the money. They need those water too.

Remember those companies and twits that were stationed everywhere pestering you to sign up for an electricity retailer so as to save on your electricity bills? It gave the impression that there was a surplus of electricity produced in Sinkieland.
