Re: Singapore PR from Philippines felt discriminated that there is no paid childcare

Childcare leave should be paid by their respective country.

No point saying they are discrimated here, their government cannot afford to pay childcare and that is not our problem, they should voice it out to THEIR government, not kpkb here.

With all these policies differentiating between citizens and non-citizens, Singapore will never make it to become a Global City. The only difference between citizens and non-citizens should be the right to vote, all other things should be equal, PRs pay taxes too. At this point, Peesai is stll a Kampong City.

Cheers!

tell me which country in this world does not differentiate between citizens and non-citizens when it comes to distributing benefits. every country's resources is finite. so what if the PRs/ foreigners working here pay taxes too? they choose to come here to work and so they better be paying their taxes like we do. We do not give them jobs or share our public infrastructure with them for free u know.....in fact no sane country in this world would do that

shove that high brow "liberal" ways of urs up ur arse man  :oIo:

No need to KPKB about being discriminated.. Enough talkin about integration coz its all bullshit..

Don't talk cock about PRs doin NS as most of your kind would head back home for good the minute your sons reach NS age..

When my wife was a student in UK, medical, optical services were free. She wasn't a citizen. And in Canada, the only difference between citizen and PR is the right to vote.

Anyway, I'm referring to Peesai and her strong desire to become a Global City - why follow? Better to set higher standards and implement them. Be more generous and have a bigger heart. Or is it just talk?

Cheers!

UK and Canada don't have 40% foreigners in their populations. Also, the foreigners working there need to pay high income taxes unlike in SG, where it is easy to pay very little in taxes. The taxes paid in UK and Canada are in turn used to fund their welfare schemes for citizens and not used for gambling by GIC and Temasek.

Sg has one of the highest if not the highest GDP in the world - rich(est) country. BTW, her electors (spell citizens) are the ones who want "more good years" and indirectly put Temasek in a position to access their funds, over and over again. Sg has good living (people eat in restaurants and spend $200+ like it is a normal thing to do), so, what is it to help out fellow HUMAN BEINGS who also contribute to the country's wealth and cultural diversity? I can understand dislike for foreigners who misbehave and are a public nuisance. But law-abiding ones whose only desire is to get a better job to better their lives and their family's - they're just like you and me. Why disadthevantage them?

Cheers!

Until the government reduces foreigners working in Sinkapore by 90 percent, all foreigners should be treated as threat to the livelihood of Sinkees.
