For staff reaching 62 years of age, they will not be re-employed unless their performance over last 3 years is better than satisfactory. Even an average of satisfactory performance will elicit a re-employment offer.
This is the will of the Govt viz spirit of tripartitism?
It appears that the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing as statutory boards or civil service following the criterion has the backing of Public Service Commission - the mother of all HR.

CORRECTION: Even an average of satisfactory performance will not elicit a re-employment offer.

Seriously hor, polytechnics are supposed to teach relevant and updated industry related skills. 62 years old how?

If one has been a poly lecturer until age 62, s/he should have enough CPF and cash savings to retire comfortably. Shouldn't be hogging down the position, open it to younger applicants.

When the left hand said to re-employ, the right hand was busy PCC.

That's why it did not take note of what the left hand said..

a large bulk r not involved in teaching ...

Why don't they admit they are recruiting Foreign Trash...

The trouble is, the previous 66.6% now 60% gets slap on the face, they still don't even know it or pretend. "zorro' says, better, cheaper, faster he was referring to the FT, who will replace the locals, who will get the recommended ( not MIN) wages of S$800.:p
