An unruly New Year's Eve crowd in Bengaluru fell all over the girls gathered to welcome 2018 and harassed them, a man present on the streets and whose wife was allegedly molested last night told India Today.

The husband's account of what happened in Bengaluru on New Year's Eve came hours after reports of a woman being harassed and molested around the Brigade Road area surfaced.

The husband, while speaking to India Today, spoke of how the crowd started misbehaving with women celebrating New Year's Eve as soon as the clock board at the Brigade Road circle started counting down the last few seconds of 2017.

"The moment the countdown started the crowd over there (Brigade Road circle) intentionally started falling on girls," the man told India Today. "They were trying to pull the women's pants and put their hands inside their clothes."
