SIA Bleeds

SPH? U still have faith in tis counter?
High risk but can be very good returns. SPH's NAV is $2.43. Now it is $1.07. PAP will not let SPH go bust. There are three possibilities. Either SPH issues rights, remain status quo or gahmen takes it private. Instead of leaving my money in the bank, i can pick up sph and hope gahmen takes it private. High returns

SIA, SCI, Kep Corp, SPH, Singtel, DBS, UOB, OCBC are all good chips to buy if you can hold

The challenge is that under the current levels of unemployment, the "recommended" levels of dividends payment
by banks etc etc, these good/blue chips could end up as potato chips. The strategic approach to take perhaps
is to be a swing trader or intraday?

NAV counts for nothing when sentiments about jobs etc are the issue.

DBS gave $132 dividend per yr. MAS has recommended that it be capped at 66c this year. That is still quite good. Can get dividends and invest long term capital gain if price is right

I actually wish that there are more Worker Unions like Alpha-S who will fight for better terms for their members, This way it will help to check abuses of mgmt against Singapore workers
What happened to that Ryan Goh pilot? Went to Aussie? Will he come back and lead a action against management?

Ryan Goh, got balls. He was a PR. PAP cant stand men who have balls. His PR was taken away and probably barred from Singapore

SIA is a bankrupt company, owing billions of $. Next few qtrs, it will report at least $1B loss every three months. I expect it to go below $3 soon. $2 is almost a certainty. SIA has no money until at least 2024
I am an insolvency practitioner (work on bankruptcy and insolvency matters).
SIA may be insolvent but not yet bankrupt because bankruptcy is a different event and status.
Insolvency means unable to pay its debts when they become due.
An individual or a corporation becomes bankrupt when it makes an assignment in bankruptcy, or based on a petition filed by one or more of its creditors, the Court makes an order adjuging it bankrupt.

Thanks. SIA is an insolvent company?

He was told that it would take 52 man-years.
To reduce the time required, assign 520 individuals to work on it.
If 52 individuals work on it, it will be reduced to one year.
Therefore, allow 520 individuals to work on it, it will take about 0.1 year.

I do not know.
Is the realizable value of the assets less than its liabilities?
Not sure. I hv not comb through its balance sheet. But it has liquidity problems. That's why it has to urgently raise funds

52 yrs is a ploy to delay OTC?

now look at his descendants.. the family breaks up. grandson cannot come back sg or else arrested. both brothers against each other.
Very unfortunate and sad, that their journey has arrive at that juncture.
If that is how the government operates mysteriously, with respect, I submit that the Minister(s), and/or the Attorney General Chambers, and/or the senior civil servants are petty and immature.
