Should I deal with the most obnoxious members of this forum?

That bloke is not in Aussieland as most would assumed. There are actually some here who are 24/7 in this forum who can do the job but the host is not looking for volunteers. It is a thankless job. Your enemies and their clones will find ways to flame you while your allies and their clones will sing praises about you. PAP IB would love to take over this forum. That is why their clones have been PMing Leongsam non stop to change it to suit them.

I've pretty much let everyone run riot and I've received numerous emails and PMs asking me to do something about it.

There are silent members here who tell me they'd start contributing if I enforced some degree of law and order. In the other corner are the more rowdy characters who enjoy the rough and tumble.

I have various options :

1. Do nothing.
2. Infractions and a 24 hour ban.
3. Place them in moderation so they still can post but at a much slower rate.
4. Delete the account and all messages.

I'll decide in a couple of days time after reviewing the feedback and the voting trends.

pray tell who are these silent characters that cannot post anything till the rowdy characters are taken care of? Who are these little whiny cry babies that won't post anything till the crowd has been silenced and the stage totally cleared so that they can be the sole individual on it with sole attention of everyone placed unto them. What sort of contirbutions will they be giving? 1001 tips on how to brave the economy? behind the back gossip of sg's elite? How to make more money and how to overthrow the pap?

Sad to say these type of forummers tend to have that type of mentality that they are somehow superior compared to the rest like they are actually doing everyone a favor here by even posting here. Even worse some of them start threads needing to state the obvious. Like the scroobal will start a thread talking about the forum's top contributors and of course indirectly praise himself and his lap dogs on how valuable their contributions are which is as shameless as mediacorp holding the star awards and asian awards and being the sole contender for the awards ceremony.

Take a hint from char_azn despite having his pictures revealed and a nick that was created solely to flame him he still posts here and in fact doesn't even care. Imagine if such a nick were created to flame scroobal and reveal his pics, that fella would take that as a travesty demand the nick be punished by burning in hell.

I too get put off when an interesting thread that has started off well degenerates into pages of pages of utter rubbish. The only reason why I leave things be is because the hands off approach I've been adopting takes up very little of my time.

Sam, honestly I don't see the point of this poll. The people you are trying to ban has multiple nicks. They will have multiple voting power. So it is a confirm deal that your poll will give the result not to remove them. So your poll got no point one right?

I am sitting this one out also. Sometimes they piss me off with their repeat flamings. Sometimes they are quite funny which makes my day.

You are the boss. You can decide how you want your forum to become. You paid for it afterall. You have every right to decide what kind of forummers you want.
