I was in one of Cold Storage supermarket, making my contribution to the "poor" (POOLS), when I looked out of the glass partition, I saw two long queues like a long, long snake...I thought "free gifts"?? then I look carefully, these people were queuing to buy a BOX of N95 mask ( I think 10)...at a supermarket.
They should continue the index, bump it up a little...the MASK market is good...it is hits 500...start selling the ones that, the US army surplus store sells..ha ha ha ha
'Poorest' is very subjective. What are they going to do: means testing?

the inside of the mask is dirty (and during the current haze crisis, PM2.5 particulate matter will have accumulated on it) and the air that passes through it before entering your nostrils is dirty too.

I would like to share this link with all the TRE readers here. It’s a compilation of prices of N95 mask by various netizens:

For example, NTUC unity is selling at $2.50 apiece (I’ve called to verify).
Mount Alvernia Hospital was selling them for $3.80 each this morning (I know ‘cos my friend bought some there). Mount Alvernia restricted buyers to 3 masks each and there was a queue of 10-15 people who found out by word of mouth that they had masks.
SGH and NUH are also reported to be selling masks for $2.50 each.
However, someone also posted on Facebook [Link] that CGH is selling at $4.70 apiece:
I heard a rumour that the govt is going to sell N95 masks for $6 each.
Also heard from a doctor friend that some medical suppliers are selling masks for $8.
Note that there is no mention of the brand but I reckon all N95 masks should be about the same.

N95 is a standard. 3M being de preferred brand...other brand x n95 may hav the same performance level but not de comfort...

This country and sinkies is FUCKED big time!
In Indonesia all imported stuff are sky high priced yet I could simply buy a fucking 3M 8210 N95 mask from safety equipment shop at only $15.42 or 77 cents each, Singapore is a free port why then its so expensive? We're not asking the PAP government to guve us free but at least have a heart to control prices in this time of crisis.
PAP is so evil. Anyway Singaporeans don't ever hope one day in other crisis this government will stand with us and help us.
