[Sg] - PAP Grace Fu: "If you can pay S$20 for a pasta, why cannot pay S$5 for a wonton mee?"

It kills the taste of pizza then.
It beats paying $20 for the skin and bones of duck + rice for 2 persons at this scammer stall in Hong Lim Complex:

I will ask the food delivery guy later when was the last time he ate a 20 dollar pasta.

As I had already tucked into the dish of skin and bones with my son, I didn't want to confront the scammers from Ah Heng Duck Rice. The hawker may throw some bones in our direction, causing both of us to duck.

if it looks like a parasite, smell like a parasite, then confirmed its a parasite

Dining out with family once a while to spend $20 on pasta is totally different from everyday working eat lunch to spend $20 on pasta .... the $5 wanton mee to average income working sinkies is a burden that million dollar ministers and PAP can never understand now. So different from the team that formed the party back in 1965 when all of them are earning decent salaries. :frown:

If u work hard like our ministers u too can afford to have 20 dollar pasta for every meal. May be a 5 dollar wonton mee every now and then and 10 dollar xo ckt. Don't be lazy and give excuses. :cautious:

$20 pasta, you will find in shopping cafe/restaurant, if it is in hawker center can close shop leow
Even for the middle class, a $20 pizza is an occasional indulgence, while hawker meals are consumed daily by most S'poreans. Grace Fu has certainly lost touch with the ground. She should stepdown because she is unqualified for the job of MP/Minister.

The ingredients in a $20 pizza and the rental at a restaurant in a shopping mall are far more costly than those found in a bowl of wanton mee at a hawker centre. Grace Fu is completely clueless to the struggles of a typical S'porean trying to make ends meet in the most expensive city in the entire world.

The diner is willing to pay $20 for a pizza at an air-conditioned restaurant where he receives service and does not need to clear his own utensils and crockery. Why is that beyond Grace Fu's ability to comprehend?
