This spoilt 'princess' teenager made her maid pick out the bean sprouts from her noodles and even scolded her for missing out some, says STOMPer Mike. He asks if young Singaporeans are expecting their maids to do everything for them.

Said the STOMPer:

"Yesterday, I was at the Old Town White Coffee outlet at East Coast at 1 pm.

"I noticed a spoilt teen 'princess' making her maid pick out all the bean sprouts from her noodles.

"What was worse was this brat was constantly scolding her maid for failing to spot bean sprouts!

"Furthermore, her parents just continued to eat their food while their other 2 maids tended to the other 2 kids.

"They had a total of 3 maids. That's to say, one maid for each kid.

"Is this how we want our children to grow up, thinking that our maids/domestic helpers are there to serve on them hand and foot and do everything for them?

"Only after the poor maid had spooned soup into the brat's bowl could she sit down to have her meal."

I agree, since we're not paying the maid's salaries, we have no right to interfere. If they are rich enough to have one maid to one child, how they treat their maids are none of their business. If there's an abuse case, that's the mata's business and still none of ours unless we have forummers working in SPF or AG
