I'm still following threads here but quite disappointed that new good threads have been torn to pieces by irritating to-and-fros mostly irrelevant out-of-topic one-liners between the usual small number of same people not adding new arguments but "chit-chatting" and destroying the main theme. Makes following any good arguments tiring and frustrating.

The pro PAP stuff is miles better than anti PAP hogwash that is posted here on a daily basis.

A few minor hiccups and the anti govt forces call it a "crumbling" of the country. One can imagine some sort of derelict ghost town in what was once thriving hub.

If you want to see "crumbling", take a trip to Detroit. I was there a year ago and I saw crumbling like there was no tomorrow.

Have you been to Jurong, Gul Circle, Tuas etc? Looks exactly like Detroit, as factories shut down aftre MNCs outsourced to China. What's left are mere shells of empty buildings. EDB dares not even ask the companies to take down the signboards so as to give the impression that "Detroit" is still alive and well.

This point of view I reckon hit the nail on target.It does not matte whether SBF is pro PAP or otherwise.

The stagnancy of this forum is akin to the typical Singapore under PAP.Both dying because of lack of young new blood with their vibrancy.The same old oldies are hogging this forum;reducing it to chit chats of their vanity.This forum will die like soc ,unless something drastic takes place.

And I don't believe Sam's claim of 1500 to 2000 posts a day.Unless he is including the sex forum as well.Anyway,as Scroobal had said SBF is no longer credited fo anything by MSM......even in the article by WSJ , the very recent entrant tremeritus and TOC is mentioned but not SBF.

This forum had seen better days but today is a skeleton of it's itself.Whatever had been done cannot be undone.Hence we have to admit it's just a question of time before this forum keels on it's belly.Thanks for the wonderful times we had.

In Singapore, it's a simple case of "out with the old and in with the new". The area will be rejuvenated in no time. Singapore can do what the US can't achieve because it is quick, it is nimble at it has deep pockets thanks to the astute leadership of the PAP.

They're MNCs coming to Singapore, hiring PRC supervisors and PRC factory girls. Might as well go to PRC. Better, right? Better than you all everyday complaining so many PRCs in Singapore, right? This type of $2k supervisor job or $1k factory job no young Singaporean wants anyway. Singapore isn't crumbling for youngsters. Singapore is crumbling for old folks! Where got youngsters collecting cupboard and tin cans? Only old folks. Maybe soon I'll end up like that also. :(

I don't have anything to do with that forum but I did a search and found the data regarding the sex forum at http://www.big-boards.com/board/2261/

That forum receives about 3500 posts daily based on the graphs. There are some days where it seems to go negative so it must be days when old posts are deleted.

The death of this forum has been predicted about 10 times in the last 10 years. Keep it coming.

That is the wrong definition of crumbling, that is total collapse of the kind of society that Singapore is arduously following faithfully. The warning signs are out for the Singapore Government but who listens? Even Detroit today has not change course and more cities are crumbling as we speak.

Like the lemmings, we will go along the same path to self-destruction.
