A SAUDI Arabian man was sentenced to five years in prison and will be deported after serving his term for raping a Chinese woman in public in Changsha city, Central China’s Hunan province, according to a local court.
The court announced the verdict yesterday, local media reported today.
The 22-year-old, identified as Alsubaie, was caught sexually assaulting a 38-year-old Chinese woman in front of a restaurant gate early in the morning of April 4.
Angry witnesses seized him and called police after the man stripped off the victim’s pants and raped her, the court said.
He was apprehended by police and later admitted to having sexually assaulted the woman, court officials said.
The Saudi Arabian man had been learning Chinese at a local university in Changsha.
