When going back for training, it was like going back to the 80s and most things still the same. Same old shit!

Logistics was slow and lots of queueing up. Rush to wait, wait to rush. And normally it start the day before dawn and stretch till night for supper. At the end only little task completed.

Technology and efficiency is hard to implement in the SAF when the culture remains the same, and the enforcement is done by enciks & senior officers who worked under the same system for 10-20 years already.

That's why while I missed the times I spent with my fellow HQ men and junior specs, I don't miss the management side of things that were done by the enciks and senior officers. A number of them were arrogant, aloof and insular. They are so yaya papaya that they don't realise that there's a real world out there.

You don't see a troy costume probably due to the fact that they are trying to recruit PRCs into SAF with old warring chinese theme. I wonder why they don't use Malays with kris if they want to be politically correct. Or Chinese and Malays armed with parangs would have been more appropriate.

A chinese general fighting one on one has no relevance to the SAF (more racists to be precise). First time I saw it, I thought which new movie was premiering. Next when I saw SAF fatigues, seinzzzz.

That's why I'd never sign on. I respect those who want it, but I fear that they will, in time, regret it. Younger people who did eventually have or would quit after 6 years. It says it for itself.

Well, the commercial looks good and that its. As usual, our SAF is visually impressive but completely screwy in reality.

That only says something ! That the advertisement company is doing a great job ! Does not mean the force is good !

SAF is rotting fast within. Morale is low. Many people leave because of red tape bureaucracy. Talented people are suppressed by people with paper qualifications. So everyone inside is bootlicking everyone of higher rank.
That is how bad SAF has become. Under Staff and low morale.

Still supporting so many OCFs, Majors and Colonels. In the end no one does the job !

Someone ought to save SAF before it becomes a ceasepool !

in ancient times, generals lead their men to battles. in order to not risk innocent bloodshed, the generals initiate 1 on 1 battle. in current days, the officers shout "charge!" and he falls back to the rear.

the advert should rename it as "the balls within" (bcos SAF hum-ji)

The part that the soldier kicks the door and then remove the safety clip and safety pin, would be dead before he can throw the grenade into the room.

i had not seen the advert yet. (TV permantly tuned to discovery channel) I had not attend any FIBUA training, (siam because had to prepared by unit LRI as i armskoteman) but logic tell me that if i am doing the assault, i would have pull out the safety pin of the grenade first and ready it. Upon kick open the door, would have threw the greande in immediately.

Any bros who attend FIBUA training before can clarify the situation?

SAF adverts from day 1 was all propaganda, its a hoax designed to make sporns believe that we're high & mighty with superior weapons that over power the neighbours. but when it comes to simple assault, small details of grenade arming procedure already wrong...................... means that's how well we will fair in warfare.
