i think i only did 8km road march once only during bmt. only few hours niah. chicken feed.

On average in one hour should be able to cover at least 4km by normal walking pace. Maybe in road march the pace should be slightly quicker.

the recruit was just trying to justify why his pussy bled when hymen tore on their virgin experience. its not as if all other predecessors have never undergone similar, if not, more gruelling training during the BMT. fact is, the welfare & training safety standards weren't set in place to full potential (in early days), such that they're now sheltered in resort styled chalets.

road march pace is slightly slower because got 30kg fullpack plus 4kg M16 plus moving at a company level. but after bmt and in your 2nd year ns, can march at a faster pace liao.

that's why they might need some strength training. Do 5 x 5 strong lifts. They even get you to do pull up with weights. I can easily manage 5 pull ups in succession with 15 kg of weights tied to me up to a total of 20-25.
