Where To Dabao The Best Food In Bedok

10. 75 Ah Balling Peanut Soup

Last but not least, 75 Ah Balling Peanut Soup in Fengshan Market serves the best of Singapore’s classic local desserts – Tang Yuan! The traditional mochi-esque balls come in a variety of flavours, including Peanut, Red bean, Yam, Black sesame and Green tea. Customers can choose from three soup bases to pair with these bite-sized delights – Peanut, Almond milk and Ginger.

Our personal favourite is the Peanut Tang Yuan with Ginger soup, the creamy, nutty peanut filling contrasting perfectly with the spicy, refreshing ginger soup. Queues can get long, so be prepared to wait a little to try this nostalgic dessert!

Location: #01-25, Fengshan Market, Blk 85 Bedok North St 4

Operating Hours: Mon – Sun: 11am – 8.30pm

We just had to include this because prata is something that tastes good at any time of the day! For only 90 cents, you can get a piece of this buttery goodness! Even if you buy three (usually enough to fill one up), it would still cost you less than $3!

$2. Need we say more? This bowl of soya sauce chicken rice is only $2! Hawker Chan is also a Michelin Star Awardee, so you already know it’s going to be consistently good! However, we’ve noticed that many prefer having this at their original outlet in Chinatown despite the chain having several other outlets.

$2.50 for a bowl Kway Chap AND side dishes? It probably doesn’t get much better than this. If you’re a fan of innards, you don’t have to worry about foul-smelling or funky tasting ones because the ones at Lai Xing are clean, yet flavourful!
